Read moreOK, being a business owner, I struggled with writing this review, because I understand that things happen. Unfortunately the overall experience, caused me to share my thoughts/concerns.
I arrived and was given a room on the 3rd floor-304 to be exact. The room seemed to be fairly up to date, but the furniture was terribly worn. Pillows on the couch had feathers sticking out.
Being tired, I fell asleep on the couch. I got up in the middle of the night to get in the bed, and there was human hair on the pillows.
Additionally two of the square towels on the tub fell, and it looks like mold was behind them.
I went to the front desk that morning, shared my concerns with the two front desk workers.
They said that the only room available, that was clean, was 126. The room was a bit of a distance, from the initial room that was provided, but I said fine.
I went all the way to room 126, just to check things out, and guess what? The room was not clean and the bed was not made up. It’s as if, I went into someone else’s room, while they were away.
I went back to the front desk and told them the room was not clean. The front desk clerk did apologize, as stated that the room was marked clean in the system.
At that point I told them that I was going to go back to my original room, and once they had a room available, to please reach out.
They called me about an hour or so later and move me to room 204. This particular room, is OK, it’s rather outdated, but the furniture looks better than the furniture in 304.
Monday and Tuesday went by. I’m checking out Thursday, and today, Wednesday was the first day, that room service came in to clean and fix the bed.
I decided that I was going to utilize their laundry facility, to wash my clothes. Upon coming in, The front desk clerk, who was on her cell phone by the way, was asked if quarters could be obtained from the front desk.
She replied no. Then she was asked, if she knew whether or not the laundry facility had a change machine. She said she wasn’t sure.
So I had to go downstairs to look for the laundry area, I ended up running into someone coming out of the sales office.
It was asked to her, if she knew whether or not the laundry area had a change machine, and she said no, but you can get change from the front desk.
I told her what the front desk had said and she said that wasn’t true, and offered to go up there to get change.
So after being here from Sunday all the way through to almost Thursday, spending close to $700 for the stay, it was rather interesting. But not the good interesting.
Guess travel, because they want to get away from home, for the luxury of being pampered and cared for and to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day.
In my opinion, this was nothing but hustle and bustle and I could’ve just spent my...
Read moreWe stayed at the Cove recently for a bachelorette party. The staff were hit or miss, room overall was good and would likely return. I interacted with two different front desk staff during the stay, the first of which was not helpful and very off-putting. Despite being informed earlier in the week that I was confirmed for early check in at 1pm, when I arrived at 2pm, I was told the room wasn’t ready and that my early check in “was not a guarantee.” I expressed concern since I was confirmed multiple times and I had a large amount of luggage and things to unload. I asked if I could bring anything in, she said no. I asked if there was a priority of some kind (i.e could my room be next on the list), she said no, only that they do them randomly. I then asked if I could know the room number, she said no, that they can’t give that information. I was hoping for more than a couple word response/offering some type of assistance or solution for me but the front desk worker (did not know her name as they don’t wear name tags) didn’t really seem to care or want to help me. She then gave me my parking pass and when I asked about additional passes (as the suite is for 6 people), she said “It’s twenty dollars”. I had to ask multiple clarifying questions about how I would send the other guests up/how they would pay/cost of 1 night vs 2. Again, not getting the vibe that she wanted to be helpful to me at all, she was giving me as short of responses as she could. Upon checking in later, the other staff member I spoke with was very friendly and a much better experience thankfully. As far as the suite/room, it was very spacious and I appreciated that they provided paper towels, soap, dishes, etc… but the carpet was stained in a lot of areas and could definitely use a good cleaning or replacement. The rest of the room was very clean and beds were comfy (sadly cannot say that for the pull out couch, very glad we brought spare air mattresses). The wall mounted A/C units were okay, kept turning off despite leaving them on the fan on setting. Thankfully there was a tower fan in the closet because upstairs was very toasty. Lastly, they definitely need to come up with a better solution for the upstairs skylight cover. I was having a very hard time sleeping with the bright light shining down on us as the shade did not do anything to block the light. You need a blackout shade!!! Also, multiple outlets did not work or your device/plug fell right out. Overall, I’d suggest some modifications but would likely return if needing another group...
