That was my first time ever in this park that I can recall. As a child my parents took us to Lake Geneva to fish from our boat. This time it was for Baconfest. I enjoyed the music, the food, and the people attending. Wear comfortable walking shoes because the ground is a little uneven but not enough to hurt yourself, unless you're extra clumsy plus have an unstable gait. The grass was nicely manicured, the breeze was perfect for the occasion. You can actually throw a rock and have it land in the water. Just beautiful. It took about 20 minutes to find a parking space, that was about 4.5 blocks from the park. That was okay because I was able to see different businesses as I walked to and from my car; not to mention the many people who received parking tickets because they did not check their parking time! Read moreGreat park! For non-disabled people. It's difficult to navigate with an independent pushrim wheelchair, and walker. Restroom entry is not power access and next to a dangerous curb. Center Street sidewalk is narrow and contains protruding objects compared to the Wrigley Drive sidewalk. Concrete does not surround the whole pavillion for some reason, and the ramp at the back of the pavillion was designed for music equipment access. There's yellow detectable warning surfaces oddly placed where there seems to be no crosswalks, endangering seeing and sight-impaired pedestrians alike.
