8/10 burrito.
If you are a fan of a fresh and healthy, no frills breakfast burrito. This is your spot. Plenty of size, good value, quaint atmosphere. I’d expect nothing less from good ol’ Wisconsin. The lake Geneva area is legend. Pleasant mix of Chicago haute couture and working class Wisconsin. It’s nice to find local diamond in the rough Great Eggs among the recently infringing Wisconsin Dells style commercialization of lake Geneva.
The burrito is PHAT with and endless array of options. I opted for most of them, which tasked the burrito maker a struggle as it came to wrapping time. Best to familiarize yourself with the limited menu (breakfast wraps or lunch wraps only) and order ahead... a small electric griddle limits the chef to one or two burritos at a time and with recent positive reviews this tiny hole in the wall can get crowded.
Fresh, delicious, and pretty healthy. An interesting sight to watch being created, it’s aptly called “an omelette wrap”. Thin omelette is created, toppings added, the wrap is placed on top to seal in the moisture, the omelette is finished and then wrapped with your choice of tortilla- and there is a lot of choices. One of my favorite spots in the area and definitely worth a stop.

There aren’t any pre-determined breakfast wraps with ingredients intentionally put together for a good flavor balance. They’re also plain breakfast ingredients, like chunks of boiled potatoes with no seasoning. The lattes were made with a Breville espresso machine meant for home use vs. commercial (we literally have it on our counter) so it took awhile. We could see them steaming the milk and they weren’t following the basics to get foam (the wand was straight down in the bottom of the cup and wasn’t tilted at an angle) so it tasted like the milk was just heated in...
Read moreQuaint, fun and friendly breakfast and lunch place. It smelled amazing from the moment we walked in and the owner sold us on each of the homemade ingredients as he created our breakfast wraps right in front of us. They did not disappoint! Great Eggs has perfected the breakfast wrap from the fresh veggies to the olive oil and rosemary roasted potatoes to the homemade corn and black bean salsa... they were very accommodating and customized each one to our liking. We enjoyed every last bite of our wraps on the casual, garden-framed front porch. We will most certainly be back... maybe even later today... the lunch wraps and giant s’mores sounded too...
