Having served as a long-time board member & President of an arts council in another town, I've got to say Gallery 223, a 501(c)3 operated by volunteers, is impressive. It's a small, well-stocked gallery array of primarily quality local work by local artists in many media.
I've attended two photo-related evening presentations in recent weeks; by a husband, then wife pair. His was quite good & hers was saved by a well-prepared handout. Their network connection was tediously slow, and she chose to upload way too many images near the start, which didn't help.
The group seems well balanced & dedicated to their cause. Highly recommended if you're looking for affordable choices & peripheral creative learning...

I learned so things from the painters there, that I applied to my own photography art. For example, I sharpened my skills, by learning more about color and composition.
