My husband purchased my wedding ring from the Frandor Medawar. The ring itself is beautiful however it’s a beautiful nightmare a month after he gave it to me one of the diamonds fell out. So we took it back to the store only to have to come out of pocket 150 dollars for the repairs which I feel shouldn’t of been an expense on our behalf because whatever happened to the 90 days store warranty, and why is the diamonds felling out in such a short length of time? So long story short we paid to get it fix to only have the diamond come out again a second time. This time Suzanne Medawar didn’t want anything to do with us in fact she allowed one of her workers to help us and the same repair cost us 350 dollars this time around. Now my diamond have came out a third time in which the repair cost went up to 550 dollars. But what really have me upset is the fact I had the diamond that fell out of my ring but their worker Paul lost it and tried to say I never gave it to him and that they will watch the surveillance tape to see what actually occurred. First of all why would I steal from myself and secondly I emptied out my entire purse to find nothing I had my ring and the diamond in a plastic bag which they provided and the salesperson Paul lost it and then stated to me no disrespect but the diamond was chipped. However it still belongs to me and I want it back or to be compenstated accordily. It’s been a week and I still haven’t heard anything from the medawars, Paul or their daughter I guess I must get my attorney involved to be...
Read moreIt may be said that I have trust issues.
When I graduated from college in ’99, I bought myself a graduation present — a Bulova Marine Star. It was the first expensive thing I had ever purchased for myself. I relied on it heavily when I took the GRE. I wanted an accurate timer, and I didn’t trust the computer clock. My Marine Star has never let me down. It’s as accurate as my cell phone and tough enough to handle the pressure of being on the range.
I don’t know how many years passed before someone told me that a precision timepiece needs a tune-up every few years. When I learned that it had to be shipped to Bulova for service, I felt a little sad. I had worn that watch every day for years, and the idea of being without it for even a day—let alone a month or two—didn’t sit well with me. So I put it off.
Then one day, I walked into Medawar Jewelers to get a pin replaced. One of the salespeople and I struck up a conversation, and she mentioned that Medawar performs tune-ups in-house. That meant I wouldn’t have to ship my watch away for months or send it to someone I didn’t know. I immediately handed my Marine Star to one of the good people at Medawar.
A week or two later, I picked it up. It looked as good as new. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the quality of the repair was exceptional. My Marine Star still looks brand new, keeps perfect time, and stands up to the pressure at the range.

Read moreI'd lost a diamond out of my engagement band, which used to belong to my husband's grandmother. My husband and I thought it would be at least several hundred dollars to repair, due to the delicate design of the ring. We'd gotten one other estimate of $195.00 prior to taking it to Medawar, which, to be honest, we were delighted with. The estimate we got from Medawar was less expensive. On top of that, the service we received was amazing. I don't characterize myself as a "jewelry person." I have a few tried and true pieces that I love and wear nearly every day. One of those pieces is a ring from my grandmother. The Medawar employee that assisted us commented on my grandmother's ring and had it cleaned and polished for me in the store when we left my engagement band to be repaired. We were told there was a chance the ring would be ready prior to Christmas, but not to expect it. At this point, we were so happy with the service we received, that we didn't think twice about the timeline. So, imagine my surprise when I received a phone call later in the day that my ring was ready! The diamond that had fallen out had been replaced and the ring was polished and shined and looked brand new. To say that I'm happy with the service is an understatement. Also, the salesperson who assisted us, Paul, was so good-natured and friendly. Highly recommend Medawar...
