decided to stop by thinking we'd leave with some good finds. as soon as we walked in there were a few bins full of shoes, my boyfriend liked a pair for me so he held them the entire time as we checked out the rest of the store. we checked out the main shoe racks for women, it's a mess. very unorganized many shoes were missing a pair, half were dirty/used & scratched up, and most sizes were out of order, kept finding 5's and 10's in the 7's etc. but rarely any 7's. the mens shoe section is just sad. not many options at all, and why are 90% of them humongous lookin like size 15's... the socks bin is crazy good luck they're all loose socks in there I found ONE connected pair? size 4XL in the L shirts.. kids clothes in the women lingerie/pj section.. the whole store is unorganized.
Our MAIN PROBLEM was when we wrapped around back to the exit area of the store, there was a designer section. I was trying on shoes and my boyfriend was bringing shoes to me to see if I liked them. Mind you these shoes are ALL $200-600+, you GOTTA check them out for quality and try them on before you buy. Well we were never told there was a time limit. A lady working there pointed at us saying "HEY YOU 2" and everyone else in the section looked over at her, she's like "YEAH YOU 2, YOUR 5 MINUTES ARE UP YOU'RE DONE GET OUT" we're like oh? okay. we get up out of there and she stops us because of the shoes in my mans hand (that he was holding since the very beginning) and she's acting like im stealing them or gonna try to pass them off as regular non-designer, she asks to look at them and the tag inside, ok I understand it she has to make sure no problem. she saw & said we're ok move along. So we walk back to the regular clearance shoes where we got the shoes from to check that section out again for shoes we might've missed. Another lady instantly starts yelling at us all the way from checkout at the farthest register with her hand up asking if we're ready to check out, we said no we're not in line we're looking at shoes still, then she starts accusing us of the $15 shoes (they were literally ungluing but I was willing to fix them at home) we have saying we snuck them out of the designer section, we clarified that they are NOT designer and we got them from this very section. She got all mad and didn't believe us and asks the designer section lady about them which told her she checked us too and they were not designer. My boyfriend said "I wanna go. I wanna go now. This is beyond harassment." Like sorry we look like bums to you? Sorry we're not from around here? We're just like any other customer looking for something to buy.. let us shop. It was our first experience there we didn't know to expect that treatment.
WE WILL NEVER...
Read moreI come to this store probably 1-2 times a week because I love a great deal and usually find some great things here! The workers are always so nice, but unfortunately today, that wasn’t the case. My sister had grabbed a pair of pants, from the pants section, and I grabbed a shirt from one of the return racks, and we headed to the register. The worker that had checked me out, Natalie, immediately started to have an attitude with us, the second we walked up to the register. Besides my two clothing items, I picked out a pop socket from the section by the register and had asked her how much it was and with an attitude she said “$0.97”. My sister and I looked at eachother because we were confused as to why she said it like that? Then she immediately said “give me a second”, again with attitude, and grabbed my two clothing items and went to the back. Another employee came out with my items (Ebony- who was extremely kind and extremely helpful), and let us know we can’t buy these items bc the tag was wrong. We were confused, and then Natalie stepped in to tell us that WE changed the tags. We were actually speechless and then she proceeded to look at me and say “you change the tags everytime you come here”: my sister had looked at her and said “what are you talking about?”, and Natalie proceeded to say “I wasn’t talking to you”. Never in our lives had we switched a tag at your store, and for her Natalie to not only accuse us of doing it today, but MULTIPLE TIMES, is actually crazy. She also said it in front of a line, wrapped around with customers. And in fact, she was still talking rudely to us, but Ebony had to push her away and make her go to the back. We talked to two managers, who seemed to be apologetic, but at the end of the day that doesn’t really matter because Natalie, the one who actually accused us, was not apologetic. The least they could’ve done was have her apologize, because otherwise to me, it looks like they have no issue with what she’s done, and stand by her falsely accusing customers. We’re going to be taking legal civil action against her. Stealing accusations are nothing joke about and she straight out humiliated us in front of the whole store and other workers. And in the end, the difference of the “switched tag”, was probably $25 after discount. Super disappointed in this store today. And when going through your reviews, it seems this isn’t the first (nor second or third) time something like this has happened. I think this store should stop worrying about customers who truly come in for just a good deal, and start worrying about the workers that get commission from the resellers to hide them...
Read moreThis store used to be a lot more organized when I first started going years ago. Things will actually be on the right size rack.
Now it feels like they just gave up because everything is pretty much in the wrong place. While I understand it's a messy environment I feel like they are losing sales by not just putting things in the right place at the end of every shift at night.
I would much prefer if they store was closed to the public one day a month for the employees to go through and reset everything like make sure all the sizes are in the correct place, separate the bras out of the underwear bin and tag items that don't have tags.
I feel like the workers aren't compensated enough so they end up hiring a bunch of young kids that don't really care ( if I was them I wouldn't either) but I think if they paid the workers more and hired people with thrift store experience it might be better.
Resellers are very annoying especially when it comes to athletic shoes or any high demand issue. They make it basically impossible to get anything really good. Last time I went a week or so ago I didn't notice any so maybe they have done something about this by raising prices, but I definitely feel like should find another way, maybe limit the amount people can buy or some other way of controlling resellers from getting everything.
When they place new items out in the middle of the day It does cause a commotion and the lines are a bit confusing and people get aggressive. I'm not sure how they would fix this as this is more on the customers than the store. In no other store do people get aggressive like that when they see new items put out but for some reason in last chance people get crazy. I don't know if it's possible for them to just put new items out before they open and if items come in in the middle of the day they can just save them for the next morning or maybe an hour before closing.
Overall I have I found some really nice items at a good price that I wouldn't been able to get anywhere else and when you think about it it's environmentally friendly because that store is probably the last stop before those items will get disposed of ( not saying items are garbage). I hope they can fix Little things here and there and make it more like it was a couple of years ago when I first...
