Fun place, I understand though why our Airbnb host said don’t stop here.. it’s a lot dirtier than Newport Beach where we are staying. But it was cool seeing the iconic place where so many of the greats have come to work out and watching the skateboarders. Also seems to be a great place to get weed… but I don’t smoke so I could be wrong. We ended up just using the public parking on the beach and it was easier than finding a spot. 9 bucks to park for the day. All of the other parking lots charge a lot more and...

Muscle Beach in Venice is an iconic spot in bodybuilding culture. It’s not a huge gym, but its outdoor, concrete workout space gives it a unique and classic feel. When I visited during the winter in LA, there weren’t too many people, but I imagine it gets much busier in the summer. The entry fee is $10, which is reasonable for the experience. There’s also a stage area, which looks like it’s used for competitions, adding to the historic atmosphere. It’s definitely a must-visit for fitness...

Maybe it's only during week-ends that the training for hard muscles happens. That day, there were only 2 guys that seemed to be paid to figure in the picture. After all it's the only clean place with people in good health and nice appearence. The rest is very marginal and strange, some of them ready to hit you with their skate boards, bicycles and other aggressive engines, while they have a specific lane dedicated to them. Dangerous and unsecure if you are pedestrian on...

Muscle Beach Hall of Fame, dedicated to Betty Weider, is a must-visit for fitness enthusiasts. The homage to Betty and the iconic figures of Muscle Beach's history is both inspiring and educational. It's a compact yet impactful display that pays tribute to the influential figures who shaped the fitness culture of Venice Beach. A quick stop here adds depth to your Muscle Beach experience and offers a glimpse into the rich legacy of this legendary fitness hub.
