Super disappointed! We are from out of state and visit every year with the exception of 2020. We arrived at 7:10PM on Monday August 9th, almost an ENTIRE hour before closing and the host wouldn't seat us. He said the kitchen was already beginning to close. We said, "So, you aren't seating anyone?" He began to tell us that they close at 8 and that like he stated earlier that the kitchen was already closing. So, we then asked to order take-out because we were so close to our hotel just down the boardwalk. Again, he stated the the kitchen was closed. There were open tables and people eating and food was being delivered to other guests. So, we just kind of walked away to find something else and while we were standing there looking up other places on our phone we witnessed the host turn away at least 10 other people. I find this unacceptable and it makes me feel bad because I know the struggle of the service industry being that I am a part of it. He just turned away money for your business and not to mention a hefty tip for whoever would have been our server. My partner owns a beauty spa and I own a bakery. We support our fellow service industry people and it's upsetting that this individual was literally taking money from your business and his team. Shame on him! I will be happy to take down this review if I'm contacted giving a valid reason as to why this person was turning...

I strongly recommend avoiding this place, there are other places where you can go eat and drink in the boardwalk. As a first time visitor to California, I loved Venice beach, but did not have a good experience at this establishment. The management staff was extremely rude to me. I yelled at a person that I saw passing by (in a nice way to wave him over) and the manager came to kick me out, and that’s fine, I understand where I was yelling in the establishment (nothing profane or bad, just hey! Put the dog down and grab the ball! He had a dog and ball) anyways it’s the way they treated me that really made me feel bad. One employee stood next to me and even asked the manager if he could throw my phone outside because I decided to record the whole thing. I would avoid at all costs, if the owner reads this, please cross train your management team on handling situations better. A simple my dude you can’t yell here, finish your beer, and head out would of been enough, I’m a chill guy, I left, but I did lose my drink that night and I had previously been there and spent money before between ($50-100) that’s the last penny I spend there, they made it seem like my business wasn’t needed or wanted. I’d highly encourage people to avoid this place at all costs, or if you go at least be aware of how...

We are So-Cal locals and brought some friends visiting from Canada to the beach. It was cold and windy so we decided to stop for a drink and a snack as the restaurant had a plastic barrier up to protect customers from the elements. We sat next to one of the plastic windows so we could still get the "Venice Beach" vibe.

It's dry January so two of us ordered the zero alcohol Heinekens (thanks for having them on the menu) and the other two, 2 glasses of chardonnay. I was very happy to see a nice "full" glass of wine as usually these tourist generated restaurants are light on their pours. It was a nice house chardonnay which we both enjoyed. We ordered a plate of Chicken Nachos that were delicious and easily fed all 4 of us. They were the best nachos I had ever had and the rest of the table agreed! They were loaded and the chicken was a pulled style and super tender.

Erin was our waitress and she took excellent care of us! I commented to Erin that it was so nice to be able to come to such a touristy spot and have a positive experience with good food and service. I live here so I can tell you how many times that we have taken out of towners to a tourist spot just to feel ripped off. I believe it's super important for restaurants like these to cater to the locals. Great job...

BEST VIEWS EVER...I’ve been coming here for at least 15 years… I started coming here on Sunday mornings, and I would study calculus until the football games were too interesting or relevant to me. Then I’d watch football and hang out with a great Sunday crowd. The menu is very large, and almost every entree is between $8 and $20. Drinks are very reasonable and if the patio is filled, just walk right into the bar area, and order at the bar. Plenty of seating in the bar and bar area and ....heck....cleanest bathrooms on the boardwalk!!!!!! The Santa Fe salad was so Huge I had to share it...and it still looks to big to eat... ***OK, so I haven’t been here early in the morning on WEEKDAYS, it’s actually so much more fun, because all the regulars are hooting and hollering and having fun and yelling at each other across the bar for the conversations, singing to the music etc.… Super amazing!… I almost sat on the Sunny patio, where most of the tourists are getting a suntan while they look at the beach and the palm trees… Great… But this is even more fun 😁🤣😂😅 I would add a picture of my pizza, but they have this great Parmesan cheese, I don’t think she thought I’d put whole thing on my pizza… She gave me so much Parmesan cheese I have an extra layer of pizza on my pizza :-)

The only reason I'm giving this a 4 star is because even though they offer a vegan option on their burgers, I still had to pay an extra 99 cents to have the gluten free bun and the brioche bun isn't vegan. Seems so silly. It's good that they have the option of a vegan patty but if they could follow it through to include sauces, cheese and rolls without additional cost that'd make it better! ... EDIT: I visited again and had the vegan chilli with a side of fries. The vegan chilli should have come with a side of beans and onions (the normal chilli is served with cheese, onions and a side of sour cream) but none of these arrived and instead it was served with some salted crackers. They also accepted an order of Venice potatoes before the cut off time but because they took a while to cook the meals, they decided it was past cut off time and wouldn’t be serving the potatoes. Instead of letting us know this they just filled the plate with chips instead. We also asked for water and wasn’t given this either. Not really a great visit this time. Reduced the star to two.
