A great takeout option in busy Venice. They specialize in to go, but there are also many tables inside so you can eat inside if you want, which is what we chose to do this past Saturday morning. We wanted to go to a restaurant close by, but the line was extremely long and thankfully Eggslut has very quick service and very good food so it was a great alternate option. The menu is very limited, there are only a handful of items. The most popular being the soft scramble breakfast sandwich, but for this most recent visit, I wanted to mix it up and try the Double Cheeseburger. There are many locations, but this is one of my favorites because it is very close to the beach. Pricing is pretty fair and everything that we ordered was ready within 10 minutes. Parking in this area can be a bit of a hassle and it’s hard to find free parking, but it is possible.
I started off my breakfast with the Slut which is a coddled egg mixed with potato puree. It sounds weird, but it is honestly really good. The runny egg really makes for a great treat. As mentioned I wanted to try something different this time so I ordered their Double Cheeseburger and honestly really enjoyed it. It comes with guacamole, which is one of my favorite things ever and the patties were seasoned well and cooked perfectly. It was large, but not overly big. They also have an amazing Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cold Brew. It was one of the better cold brews that I’ve had in a very long time and would highly recommend it. I would honestly go back here specifically for that cold brew.
Overall, a great to go option for breakfast or lunch. I have been many times in the past and will visit again many times in the future. I would recommend to anyone...
Read moreEggslut lives up to its name. I got the bacon egg and cheese and substituted the Chipotle mayo from the Fairfax for the ketchup. I strongly recommend this unless you're a big ketchup person (I find it too sweet on breakfast sandwiches - unfortunately this mod isn't available through delivery apps).
They use high quality eggs cooked perfectly. The gooey yok smothers the sandwich and merges with the mayo to make a mouthwatering way to start the day.
If you don't like runny yolks, their soft scrambled eggs are divine and the Fairfax is my other go-to order.
The truffle hash browns deliver a celebration of umami and texture that perfectly compliments the other offerings. Careful - they come out hot!
Speaking of which, the coffee is fine (not great not bad) but also came out scaldingly hot so I had to wait a while to drink it.
The staff are super friendly and accommodating even when things get chaotic.
It's a simple industrial interior, but it suits the place. On a chilly windy day, it's very draft.
Overall, I love Eggslut - it's one of my favorite breakfast spots that I crave regularly. Great as a...
