B E W A R E !!! B E D B U G S HERE!!! I most recently stayed at this hotel. I had 2 days in the same room. I was scratching after the 1st night but would never have thought the brand name hotel of Ramada and Wyndham would ever allow a guest of theirs to go through the experience that i did. i thought they were way more on top of their game. But i must warn you that i woke up in the middle of the night on the 2nd night to a bright red stage 4 bed bug crawling on the bed next to me. i was feeling bugs all over my lower legs.. then i noticed smaller ones crawling around. i brought it to the clerks attn they switched rooms for me but that was just the beginning of the nightmare. i couldnt sleep for the rest of the night in the new room. i had to steam every item i had then put it in plastic and wash it at the laundry mat. by 8am my foot had suddenly swelled and became so painful i couldnt walk and i needed to go to ER. when i checked into the room i was 100% fine. With only bedbug bites around my ankle and the cause of the infection from a skin penetration, its obvious the cause. i was given a shot in my arm of antibiotics and a prescription. been 4days still swollen still hard for me to walk. This was suppose to be a relaxing couple days away from home for me but has become one of the worst case scenarios to detour me from my predestined happy life. the Ramada is responsible for my experience bc there is no reason that anyone should pay a little more for quality and get the same low budget experience as u would from some dive motel that has hourly rates.. They should be doing a thorough job inspecting and taking precautions using preventative care with absolute certainty that without a doubt the room they are going to rent is clean and clear of anything that could cause their guest harm or hazard and truly nothing less than peaceful and comfortable to inhabit for whatever given amount of time period. If the room is questionable in any way for any reason then DONT RENT IT OUT UNTIL YOU FIX IT! So much greediness in these hotels that rent uninhabitable rooms at outrageous prices. WE NEED A MOVEMENT. Especially in LA. because the hotel industry is out of hand. Slumlord greed and guest rip-off highway robbery and most importantly being subjected to all kinds of different health concerning issues. How do they sleep at night. God Help the Consumers. Please put an end to the greedy hotel slumlords who are just sitting back getting rich at the expense of the people who pay more than just too much money for an experience that ends up hurting them in other ways that they are blind to.Bring justice to the people and make these hotels liable for their actions. make them pay back the people for our suffering and their lack of concern. I am fed up with the facade. Why do we settle with paying ridiculous rates for rooms that smell bad or have mold in the restroom without a working fan in it or window... or cockroaches, bed bugs, vermin, paraphernalia the maid missed, blood stains on the walls or fecal traces or urine around the toilet floor or wall on the handle of the toilet or in the carpet in the drain of the shower causing the bathtub to fill up while u shower and with someone elses previous matter and grossness.. i don't want to be too graphic but honestly we have probably all been subjected to paying a really high rate and having the experience like this. this experience has opened up my eyes to a major issue that needs to be dealt with. And this abuse must end. We need to bring about a healthy resolution for this matter and end the abuse of power and greed. We have rights. Renters rights. Consumer rights....
Read moreWhat’s great? The location, free gated parking, the water doesn’t take forever to heat up anymore as mentioned in other people’s reviews, and the bed is pretty comfy.
What’s bad? Walls and or the ceiling are pretty thin. Unless you’re on the top floor, you’re going to hear every step they take above you and maybe even every breath they make.
If you can sleep through noise then lucky you it’s a non issue for you.
Most of the staff seem nice. As I exited the room, someone from house cleaning just looked at me briefly no welcome or good morning but only that one person and no issue with everyone else. Maybe they had a rough time the night before but a hello would’ve been nice.
The decor and etc are outdated yes but for me being out and about it didn’t matter too much. New stuff would be great but if the costs can stay down and they just keep things that aren’t broken, I’m fine with that.
If they do upgrade anything, I’d recommend cheap adapters that can reach the bed or replace the lamps that have outlets and or usb ports built in.
There are outlets on both sides of the bed but if you have a standard length cable you can’t reach your phone. Not a huge dealbreaker but either bring a longer cable if you need to charge and use your phone on the bed.
The building is separated into two structures but you can access both via elevators from the parking garage. You’ll need to pull in the ramp in front of the hotel or park on the street temporarily to check in and get the garage code and parking pass.
It’s not a huge garage but there extra empty spaces throughout the day and evening when we stayed.
Other than that, everything in the room works. The shampoo container they provided had one of the hardest lids to open. For some reason the conditioner was easy to open but not the shampoo. Maybe a defect but I’ve never had to put that much effort into a hotel shampoo bottle.
It’s not a tall structure so the view from the room isn’t that great. The curtains block a decent amount of light but it’s just one set of curtains and there’s no privacy curtain behind it.
It would be nice to let some light in but anyone in the building across the hotel can look in.
Would I stay here again? Sure maybe not my first pick but I wouldn’t be against coming back here. The rate was ok. I booked this a little last minute and everything else in the area was just way too much without that much added benefit.
If you consider the rate just including what the parking would be anyway, it’s...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed here in January of 2008 when we moved our daughter back down to USC. After checking online for a hotel close to the location we needed we found the online ad for Ramada. The price was a little high, but they said there was an on site restaurant and we didn't want to have to go out in the pouring rain to get dinner. We called regarding checking in. We were told by the woman who answered that we could check in at 1pm, even tho check in was at 3, it wouldn't be a problem and there would be no additional charge. We called again before we left for the hotel and another women told us that if we checked in before 3 we would be charged for another day. When we arrived after 3pm we requested a room with a king bed. We were given a room with 2 doubles. The paperwork in the room gave information about the onsite restaurant so we showered before going down to dinner. The tub hadn't been cleaned, there was dirt and hair all over. Both the tub/shower and sink drained so slow we were ankle deep in dirty water before we could get showered. Half the lights either didn't have light bulbs or just didn't work. Most of the channels on the television had so much noise that we couldn't watch those channels. When we went downstairs for dinner we found that there was no restaurant on site. When we asked where the restaurant was we were rudely told that it wasn't even opened for business yet, maybe in a few months. Thats like false advertisement, and one of the main reason we went there. At that point we told the woman at the desk about the problems in our room. She just didn't care and wasn't going to do anything about it. There was so much noise from people running up and down the hallway all night that we hardly got any sleep. Upon checking out we tried to inform the woman at the desk of all the problems we had, she too didn't want to hear anything about this. We requested a name and phone number of the manager at that point. We were told it was on the receipt we would be given. We did call this number after arriving home and had to leave a message. Someone called us back a few days later and we told them all the things we had encountered during our stay there. We were told that someone would get back to us regarding these matters. Here it is almost 2 months later and still no one has gotten back to us. WE STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO STAY, WHERE YOU'LL BE TREATED AS A...
