I had high hopes for Deka Lashes because the ambience is beautiful when you first walk-in. The big lights and lounge chairs are inviting, and I appreciated being offered a blanket when I was cold. Unfortunately, the actual lash service did not meet expectations.
I believe Rachel did my lashes and she was a cool person, but by the time I got home, lashes were already on my face, falling out. I had them done on a Wednesday, and by Sunday they looked like I needed a fill. Within two weeks, they were completely gone. Iāve been getting lash extensions for years, and I know how to care for them properly. Iāve never experienced retention this poor anywhere else.
While Rachel was working, someone who I believe was her manager/boss came over and started speaking in a managerial tone, going through drawers, and pointing out what was missing and what needed improvement. Doing this during my appointment felt unprofessional and distracting, it ruined the relaxing atmosphere and came across as poor leadership. Did she expect Rachel to stop working on me and begin refilling her drawers? Iād expect better from someone in that position that is in the position to educate younger workers about the field.
Also, I was also the only customer there during the three hours it took, which felt strange.
On a positive note, the person who did my brows was kind and even offered me a free brow wax. Unfortunately, my lash tint ended up looking more like I had smudged black makeup on, according to my friends. I think the same manager may have done them that interrupted Rachel while she was working, which makes me hesitant to trust their quality control.

So imagine my surprise when I get to the door at 9:50 and they are not open so I said thatās OK at least I got my coffee to keep me warm since itās 30° outside the sun is out so I stay in the sunshine to keep warm. 10 oāclock comes still nobody is there. Eventually the lash technician showed up about maybe 1003, 1004-ish I canāt remember but she was late. She opens the door mind you Iām standing in the sun so I didnāt really see her walk past me at first , Iām going in right behind her, she notices me She didnāt greet me or nothing when I came through the door. I cancelled my membership after this location cancelled on ME twice at the LAST MINUTE! Then they couldn't get me in for another week! I had had enough after the second time, so I cancelled my membership. Not only did they insist on taking (2) more payments from my credit card -- per their written contract (BEWARE!), but they refuse to return my calls to answer my questions about what products I can purchase for the money being held on my account!
I have called (4) times. No one can answer my questions, and the owner never returns my call. I have gone into the store twice to get information, and there is never anyone at the desk!! One person works there and does it all, so there is virtually no customer service! I am floored at how this place stays in business and the horrible disregard they have for their customers!
