Alderwood Dentistry — Attraction in Lynnwood

Update* My dentist Dr. Lam reached out to me after I posted this review. I want to reiterate that outside of the office manager, I had zero issues with her care as a provider. I really do appreciate that she took the time to reach out and speak to me about how her staff handled this incident. I do not believe it was a representation of her standard of care, or her office as a whole.**

I had been a patient of this dental office since early 2022. I didn't have any issues until last November when I received an unexpected bill for $85.

When I called to inquire about the bill, I was told it was a charge for a missed appointment as per their office policy. The woman I spoke with was respectful, and let me know she could not remove the charge & that the office manager who would be in the next day was who I should speak with.

I followed up the next day and the phone was answered by the office manager (I forgot her name). I explained why I had called and immediately she began jumping down my throat. She said that I had missed two prior appointments without notice and she couldn't remove or wave the charge. While I understand office policy, the manner in which she spoke to me left a really bad taste in my mouth. I attempted to speak again to explain my situation to her and was promptly cut off and told "Im not removing the charge". It was nasty and it almost seemed as if her coworker may have told her about my call the day prior. She was primed and ready to cut me off & uninterested in anything I had to say. We ended the call and I called back shortly after to pay the bill.

I decided in that moment that this dental office would not see me as a patient again. I do not take kindly to disrespect. I hope her rigid attitude & poor customer service...

I've never felt soo welcomed at a dental office in my life, it was bliss! Everyone was very professional and knowledgeable, and very welcoming. They have state of the art x-ray machines and cameras and all kinds of technology full to the BRIM, I was amazed! Having the latest technologically advanced equipment is very important from a patient's point of view, because that means they have the utmost care to prevent misdiagnoses or mishaps. Assistant Melanie was very helpful in getting me set up and answering all my questions, and Dr. Lam was extremely knowledgeable, she answered all my questions succinctly, and was able to make accommodations for me based on MY schedule for follow-up visits!
