What was suppose to be mom and daughter time before she head with Dad to Tennessee turned to be the most offensive uncomfortable situation ever! And although we were given free movies passes that didn't tale away from the fact that were were racial profiled. After attempting to share popcorn we knew we would move one the actual ticket holder of the seat get there. They arrived and we politely moved however upon moving the daughter and mother whose seat it was the mother refused to did down bc we were sitting there. Nothing was spilled not popcorn nor drink was spilled anywhere. The mother refused to sit in the chair after us as if we were dirty and unclean. So the daughter suggest switching seats with her mother the mother sat in the other seat and the ordered her daughter not to sit there speaking in her language point at us which was obviously she was bothered that we sat together until they got there only to share the large popcorn. The daughter then leaves and comes back with security and and employee. Automatically I was aggravated bc why did she have to go that extra measure when we were only sitting there for 5mins before they arrived. The employee proceeded to spray the cleaning solution on the seat so I said hey we're only there for 5mins and to only share the popcorn nobody spilled anything let alone touched anything. So I said we aren't dirty nor did we still anything they didn't care and gave me the nasty ugliest look which made my daughter uncomfortable at this point. The employee proceeded to spray the solution in the cup holders now the solution is spraying all over our popcorn and possibly in out slushies. I am beyond hurt and livid at this point so now I tell my family get up we are getting a refund bc there was no way that I would be about to pretend that I was ok with how that was handled. Went to guest service and we couldn't get a refund for whatever reason so we have movie passes which isn't enough for the racial experience I encountered with my daughter to the point we're both crying. We stay an hour to try to enjoy the next show however our experience was already tarnished and we did not enjoy even the switch. This is something I never experienced in my life let alone with my daughter. We moved to another theater and someone in front of us temporarily sat in a seat and when the actual ticket holder came for their seat it was so issue they moved and they sat down didn't ask for a seat to be clean nothing they sat with no complaints. Why did she need the seat cleaned when there was nothing sticky or spilled in the seat? Why wasnt both seats requested to be cleaned if she was concerned about cleanliness? Why did he spray to where the solution is spraying all over our food? Why weren't we able to get a refund? Movie passes doesn't change the trauma I feel or experienced to the point I do not want to come back ever. Ticket passes and free popcorn and drinks didn't change how we were treated and all the Gm said he was sorry that happened we could only get movie passes bc the refund doesn't work for certain card which makes no sense. It's been a whole 24hrs and this experience was so traumatic especially since our mom daughter day was ruined by racist behavior. This is still bothering bc they thought giving free passes would solve the issue. I will never feel comfortable coming back! To this location or any amc for that matter. Just terrible all around! The worst heart break is being racially profiled in from of your child who sees and recognize...
Read moreUNCLEAN, UNFRIENDLY, RUDE, UNPROTECTIVE AND RACIST. On April 23rd, I visited the 10:3 5PM showing on Truth or Dare. I had a situation where my ex did not want to hand me my keys to my vehicle. It upset me greatly, and I really just needed security to persuade him. I was truly frustrated, and asked the manager is she could get security or have to police from outside come in to quickly resolve the situation, since it happened in the lobby of the theater. She said no, refused to help me and told me to call myself. Fortunately, the young man that was behind the desk dialed the number for me. When I got off the phone, I told her that as a loyal member and constant supporter of this particular location, I felt that I was treated disrespectfully by her. She was rude, and just said, "I'm sorry you feel that way", with an attitude. I asked her for corporate's number and address, which she didn't even give. Her assistant gave me a service number, which was descent of him. The security in the theater (guy with glasses) didn't even help the situation either. He just stood there and looked at me, but didn't even bother to help me with my situation either. I no longer feel safe at this location, because your manager and security proved to me that this location can't and won't handle any situations that occur here. On top of that, I felt highly disrespected, and as if they were racist. I've seen issues that they've handled regarding similar circumstances before, but every time I visit here, the security guard will tell me that I can't come in because I don't have a ticket, and I'll have to beg him to look at the ticket I have on my phone for him to let us in. I'm calling corporate today. Worst movie going experience ever, and I do not support any AMC Theater that treats its...
Read moreWe just moved to the area and are used to the experience of Celebration Cinema theaters, but decided to try the local AMC. We’ve visited a few times now at different times of the day and days of the week, and I don’t think I’ll be coming back again. A consistently bad experience. We like to book our seats and buy food in advance so we don’t have to sit through the trailers, and both times we had to wait in the regular line for concessions pickup. It takes a while because this theater is chronically understaffed, and you’ll risk staff completely ignoring you at the pickup counter otherwise. I haven’t had fresh popcorn yet. Worse still is having to fight and argue with other guests for reserved seats every time. Some recliner seats in every theater are broken and people just sit wherever they feel like it if they get a dud. Sticky floors, random objects shoved in the seats and cracked leather is the norm. You would think with how much AMC charges for stale popcorn and tickets, they would have enough money to pay their staff to clean adequately clean and prep food or have funds to repair furniture. I loved the benefits of the Stubs membership in theory, but I definitely won’t be renewing because the experience doesn’t match what you pay at all. I miss Celebration. Pay your people a...
