I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Urban Air. Signing up for the Platinum Annual Membership seemed simple at first, but the reality is full of hidden catches and poor customer service.
Hidden Commitment: When signing up, the membership terms are not clearly explained. Only later did I realize that you are locked into a full 12-month commitment, with no option to cancel early. This crucial detail is buried in the fine print and not made obvious during the signup process very misleading for families just trying to give their kids a fun experience.
Unfulfilled Promises: Part of the membership benefit included refills, which I was told were included. However, when I tried to claim this benefit, I was denied, and the staff told me I wasn’t a member even though I’m paying $17.99 per month for the Platinum Annual Membership. It’s beyond frustrating to be charged monthly and still be told you’re not entitled to the perks that convinced you to sign up in the first place.
Poor Communication & Accountability: When I asked the staff for help, they simply told me to “call corporate” but corporate was no help either. There’s little accountability at any level, and no one seems able to explain why I’m being charged but treated like I don’t exist in the system.
Final Verdict: I would strongly advise others to think twice before signing up. The experience feels intentionally confusing, and the lack of transparency is unacceptable especially for something marketed to families. If you do sign up, be sure to read the fine print carefully and be prepared to be locked in, whether or not you’re happy with...
Read moreThe best place for children to play safely. Everything is organized and most importantly, the place is clean and... The staff helps with details, for example, on the first day, all the staff were smiling and patient. A nice young woman, Couther, helped me with registration, and I had a problem with that, but she was a patient person. I thank her a lot. At lunchtime, oh my God, I was in a very embarrassing situation, but Arianna’s kindness, I will never forget it, as I also had a problem paying for what I bought, but with her smile and patience, she took me to the other side to help me and not hinder the people who were in the back, and she did not let anyone notice. With her intelligence and smile, no one noticed, as I was embarrassed, but she came, which I really appreciate and thank you. Nazzy said, “Don’t worry, I will pay you.” The amount was 10 dollars. I told him, “I will come to return it to you next time.” With all my love, She said, “From the bottom of my heart, to your children,” but she did not accept. I told her, “If you do not accept that I return it to you, I will not take it.” She smiled and said, “As you wish.” All of this, and she did not let anyone know. With all calmness and experience, I am very grateful to Nazzy because...
Read moreI'm so glad we tested Urban Air Glenview before booking my son's birthday party, because this place is completely mismanaged. From start to finish, the experience was frustrating and disappointing.
First, the check-in process is a mess. After waiting in line, I was told I needed to sign a waiver first--something that could have easily been communicated with a clear sign or staff direction before standing in line. Instead, I had to waste more time, complete the waiver, and then start the line all over again.
Second, the staff seems to make up rules as they go. I saw kids clearly under the height requirement for driving individual go-karts cutting the line because they were related to a staff member--completely unfair to paying guests. On top of that, some parents were allowed to drive without purchasing a parent ticket, while others were told they couldn't. It's confusing, inconsistent, and unprofessional.
Considering the high cost, the lack of organization and favoritism is unacceptable. I understand the location is new, but that's no excuse for such poor management. I will definitely be steering clear of Urban Air Glenview in the future it's simply...
