Kimbop Korean Sushi Fusion — Restaurant in Maine Township

I’m sad to leave that review because of it being a small business but sometimes it’s impossible not to. That is the worst treatment I’ve ever received in a restaurant.

My friend and I went there for dinner. The lady who plays the waitress kept bossing us since we walked in. She wanted us to order first before sitting and taking a look in the menu. I said no, we sat down and she was there with literally 1 min to take our order, I said we needed time, she came back in 2 min. Couldn’t stop talking and directing us to what we should order.

Me and my friend opted for their special platter 99,00 bucks. When I ordered she asked if I was sure because it was “99,00” bucks.

The platter was 5 rolls and 25 nigiri. She brought 3 rolls and packed the rest of the order without asking, we were there for dine in and it was 720pm, they close at 8pm. She literally served us in the way it was the more convenient for her. When she packed our meal, without asking if we wanted it, she bossed me to stand up and go to her to see part of my order a totally nonsense.

And the final straw for this review was that besides all the unkind, unfriendly treatment she only packed 1 roll, meaning a total of 4 rolls instead the 5 I paid for. I didn’t argue, I didn’t go back. I was just happy of being...

Me and my girlfriend were craving sushi so we looked around and saw that this restaurant had pretty good reviews. Because of COVID we ordered take out and ordered a party tray which was 39.99 online. When we came to pick it up they told us they charged us 49.99. When we asked them about it, we realized their menu online wasn't updated. Additionally, although the party trays say any kind of roll that is not true. When we called in to place our order, the worker told us it was only 3 specialty and 2 regular rolls instead of any 5 kind of rolls stated in the menu. The worker in the front said she could not do anything about our order because she wasn't the owner and just to try out the sushi because "its really good".

We also realized that if we had bought individual rolls it would have been cheaper then buying the party tray.

I get that businesses are struggling during COVID but businesses should have the courtesy to update their menus online because takeout is the only option for restaurants like this and people who order takeout from here get screwed. Also they should take out wording from the menu that isn't correct.

Do not buy from here if you want your money's worth of sushi. Terrible business practice and awful...

My wife and I order sushi from Sushi 4 U which is like 5 minutes away from where we live. The chefs and all other employees are super nice and friendly, suggesting what’s popular and delicious. Living in Illinois, I don’t have a high expectation compared to like West Coast, but their sushi is very fresh and good quality we’ve tried various kinds so far and they all taste good.
