My 6 year old PC tower suddenly started making scary noises. Didn't know if it was the hard drive going or possibly a fan so looked for someone in the area who could take a look. After a phone call, I brought the tower in to MicroNet Systems. Jay listened to me, took a look and said he thought it was probably one of the three fans. He'd take a look and give me a call within a day or so. Jay called the next day and said it was indeed the CPU fan that needed to be replaced (thank goodness not the hard drive). He quoted me the price which was entirely reasonable and I asked him to go ahead with the work. When it was ready, he had me come listen to it running to be sure I was satisfied that the noise was indeed taken care of - and I was.
One of the things I most appreciated about the great service and about Jay is that he did not talk down to me while we were discussing everything, a common experience I've had with IT professionals, so I would highly recommend...
Read moreI have an 8-year old computer, an HP all-in-one device with a 23-inch screen. As you might expect, at that age it had slowed down to a crawl. Nowadays I guess most people consider older computers to be disposable. Toss it into the landfill and get a new one. But I wanted to hang onto mine. Problem: where do you go to have it fixed? Solution: MicroNet Systems. A friend told me about this place and its owner, Jay Mahini. I took my computer into his shop, and Jay called me in a couple days after he diagnosed its issues. It needed a new hard drive, which I suspected. Jay went above and beyond, however: he patiently went through all the apps and bookmarks I saved to determine what to keep. He also installed a solid state hard drive which works so much faster than the original it was hard to believe it was the same computer. Bottom line: I have a better-than-new HP! I couldn't be happier with Jay's expertise and attention to detail. I'd recommend him...
Read moreI paid him for diagnozing for my laptop. He said the motherboard was broken and he said It is better to buy a new laptop. It sounded like my laptop became useless anymore. Then he said, "Since you don't need this laptop, you can leave it here." I didn't give it to him. I asked him, " Can you prove how you diagnosed and show me some kind of proof with picture? He didn't prove and showed me anything. So I went to another laptop repair. They didn't charge me for diagnosis, and they fixed it for me. There was no issue with graphic cards on motherboard. The diagnosis he charged me for was totally wrong. My laptop costs 1500$. Conclusion is he lied to me for the service he charged from me. Then he wanted me to leave it for him.
This is...
