Angel’s Pancake Cafe — Restaurant in Maine Township

We came for a quick lunch on a monday. We were able to seat ourselves, and we sat at a booth that was very dark. I think the lights on that side of the restaurant were out. We were in a rush to eat and get back to work. We ordered coffee and water first. I got my coffee, but I never received my water until 5 mins after my food came, and I still had to ask for it. My coffee was never refilled until it was low and cold in the cup. I ordered the Tijuana skillet (steak skillet), and it was delicious. Steak was tender but fatty and seasoned well. The skillet was small for the price, though. I wish it had more hashbrowns, but the amount of steak made up for it! My eggs were supposed to be cooked medium well, but we're cooked hard. My sister and I visit many places. We figure we've eaten at McDonald's and the other fast food joints enough so try out other places.

What initially caught my eye was the price of the skirt steak breakfast. Eggs, hash browns, pancakes, and skirt steak for $21.50. Perhaps not impossible to beat, but hard to match.

When we went, they'd just brewed a fresh pot of coffee and it was smooth.

The skirt steak was a good portion, the hash browns a generous portion, and the eggs a good size. The pancakes were golden and fluffy and were quickly devoured.

My sister got a fajita skillet and said that everything in it, mushrooms, onions, and tomatoes, were fresh, and that the skirt steak itself was top of the line.

Apple Bread and Loaded French Toasts are excellent, as are the crepes.

Build your own skillet, with crispy corned beef hash, sausage, bacon and ham, is a bargain and makes a wonderful savory pair with the French Toast's sweetness. The corned beef hash and hash browns are genuinely crispy on request!

Rye toast isn't the strongest flavored but is strong enough.

Pancakes, light and definitely fluffy, are great for rolling up and quickly dunking into mild, flavorful, and bottomless coffee.
