Minaret Village Shopping Center — Attraction in Mammoth Lakes

The Vons employees could use a lesson or 2 in customer service. The cashiers, service deli and bakery employees are extremely rude and of no help what's so ever. I asked a bakery employee for help with a cake and she made us feel like she was doing us a favor by checking to see what flavor the cake in the vase was. Asked of they had anymore ice cream cakes in the back and was told "Do you see anymore in the case?" I responded no, that's why I'm asking if there could be anymore in the back and she stated "if you don't see them then I guess not" and walked away.. The cake I did end up purchasing was almost inedible. Tasted horrible, was dry and the frosting tasted like chemicals. I spent $40.00 on a cake and was embarrassed when we all.sat...

VONS takes up most of this center but there are other gems within it. Booky joint is awesome. The Vons pharmacy located outside of the actual Vons has a surprising selection and a Starbucks. Quiet indoor seating within the center, art, boutiques, small businesses are all worth a gander. Bathrooms available. Water fountain - yep. Masks please...

Can always count on Vons for everything I need. I even found some Mexican sweet bread. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it was extremely packed in there. But honestly maybe it was just a bad time to go. Maybe earlier in the morning is best. Also they have a single door to exit the store which doesn't help the...
