The Pioneer Theater — Attraction in Manteo

Love the Pioneer Theater, it's a great place to take the kids, the popcorn is great, everything is affordable, I had to add my pics from Halloween, looks like the owners are getting in the spirit of fun.. ☆☆☆☆Update:3/14/21 Took my grandsons to see a movie, they loved it and after Covid this year, it was a treat to return, I picked a night that wouldn't be so busy, which was great, for it helps with social distancing "as a customer with ongoing health issues I was happy to see the mask required, and the huge bottle of hand sanitizer to use, I'm so happy that the Pioneer Theater has reopened, it really is a awesome, affordable place.. and one I get to share with my grandchildren now.. also thank you to all who keep the health of others in mind, looking forward to returning, oh, and I have to say.. they still have the best buttered popcorn, delicious! 5 stars plus.. * 1st review 2020 ":"I've been going here since I was a young child, it was and still is a great place to take the family to check out a movie, they are known for playing the more family friendly movies as well.. and the price cant be beat.. the times I did go to the other theater in KDH, was horrible, expensive, and was treated not to great as well. Great! An intimate live music venue! Small theater, nice courtyard outside with food truck and beer. The thought 'great date night' comes to mind. The staff at The Pioneer was super nice and accommodating. They wanted us to enjoy ourselves!!! Parking for venue was easy to get in and out of... and seeing Rome & DuddyB up close and personal, PRICELESS. We will definitely go back!!!...

It's a very old school theatre. It does not have stadium seating, recliners, or reserved seats, but the sound and picture quality is actually pretty decent.

What makes this place 5 stars is the low price. It's $7 for a ticket and only $2 for a popcorn or a drink. Just be aware that it's cash only and the ticket booth opens about 25 minutes before the showing. Also: there are...
