Kitty Hawks Kites provided an excellent experience during our most recent beach vacation in Nags Head. My daughter and I booked a jet Ski day as well as a parasailing day. The jet ski rental area was great. We were able to check in and watch a quick safety video. The staff was all very cool. The jet Ski area was spacious enough that we were able to fly around at full speed without coming anywhere near the other two jet skis that were out there with us. The following day was very memorable with my daughter and I both being able to go parasailing together. The boat captain and first mate were really fun and interactive. Talking to everyone and overall making it a really cool experience for everyone involved. Lastly, the online booking process on their website was very straightforward and easy to use. Rented a kayak for 2 hours and $70 and as soon as we got in water filled the bottom. He said it would drain out but it did not. Not faulting for that, but we tried to deal with it, but after 35 minutes, my wife couldn't take the wet and cold anymore and we headed back. We dropped the kayak off at the stand and life vests in the store at 42 minutes of rental and he refused to refund the second hour back to me. Very poor service. If I had used it 65 or 75 minutes I could understand but we returned it well in advance of the hour and he should have given me back the extra hour. I could have argued for more than just that back given the bad experience but was just seeking the 20$ back for the second hour and he would not budge. Many of the other places that offer parasailing send you up to Duck, but we were 5 minutes from Manteo. Kitty Hawk Kites offered parasailing in the sound. From their friendly staff at the store to their captains and first mates, Kitty Hawk Kites was professional and great at what they do.

My teen and I parasailed and had a great time. Fun pictures were offered by the crew (Thanks to Captain Rusty and FM Billy) and captured our experience. You can bring your own camera, but I didn't feel like dragging that stuff aboard and worrying about water damage.

The ride featured 3 parties, two families and ours. Plenty of room to spread out. We were up in the air for more than 10 minutes and got to take in many of the sites we had visited during our week. My wife and other teen rented SUPs and had a great time too.
