We had a great stay in #215 at Hale Kai. Upon arriving to the condo we were greeted with an amazing view of the ocean from our balcony, there was music playing, fans blowing, and the place was very clean and well stocked. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. Pros: location and access to the beach park next door as well as the Natural Foods store and other shops. Parking is easy. We liked that this place is small in comparison to the big resorts, low key and family friendly. The kitchen and bathroom are updated and everything worked well, the bed was comfortable and the balcony is great for watching whales and turtles. There is only one drawback with the noise from the street (we had one night of cruisers revving up their engines), but this comes with the convenience of being close to everything. If you are a light sleeper this may bother you, but I live in an urban setting so it’s normal for me. We will definitely...

I do not recommend this place to anyone. The front desk manager, Valerie, was extremely uncooperative when trying to resolve a double payment issue. Her assistant is even nastier. In addition, they don't tell you there is no air conditioning in these units. Sleeping at night was extremely uncomfortable. They say the condo is on the beach but fail to say you can't swim there due to all the rocks. It's a car ride away if you want to go swimming. They also failed to say the porch backed up to a children's park, kids running around, noisy, absolutely no privacy all day and into the night. You couldn't shut your sliding door because it was too hot with no air conditioning. There was nothing nice or comfortable about this place. I showed up full of excitement to be in Hawaii, but unfortunately, this place left me with such disappointment. If I could give it zero...

The facility is convenient to find and close to little shops in the town. The local coffee shop across the street was great. The park next door made a fun place to hang out and look at, but also had the drawback of attracting some loud neighbors late at night. Loved the shore that was just outside, and the sound of the waves and the birds! Loved the constant breeze blowing through the condo. The kitchen was tiny but very functional. The beds were all comfortable. They provided beach chairs, beach towels, and a little ice chest which helped us bring our own lunch places. There was a pretty steady stream of tiny ant-like bugs in the bathroom and occasionally in the kitchen. The landscaping around the facility was lovely. The grill outside (by the waves!) worked very well and we enjoyed the community sharing the use...

Stayed here back in March 2020 and after staying at another condo (June 2021) with AC I’d recommend Hale Kai Oceanfront. The room is dated but gives a nice rustic old Hawaii feel, convenient close to whalers village and Lahaina. Everyone we ran into was really friendly and outgoing with conversations. We booked on Chasing Rainbows website and everything was a breeze from check-in to checkout. Obviously AC would be nice but definitely not a deal breaker and for the cost of this place you can’t beat it for the location.

3 Novembers and running! 3 different condos thus far, all well-kept and pleasant. Private pool AND beach are major plusses, plus things like grills, laundry, beach gear, etc available to guests. Within a short drive to Lahaina, Kaanapali and Kapalua, which is really great. As long as you follow the rules provided (quiet hours, security, recycling, etc) like an adult, you'll have a blast ;) Also, you can wave 'hi' to the sea turtles that like to visit the cove if you're keeping an eye out.
