I would advise against purchasing a TV from Best Buy. I bought a Samsung 75-inch television. After only a few hours of opening the TV, I excitedly turned it on only to discover that it was entirely broken from the middle. I instantly called customer care, who advised me to just return the television and they will return it. I return to the shop where I bought it and let them know I want to return the damaged television. Then, when I mention that I spoke with corporate and that I have a case number, I only receive the response "That doesn't matter." Then I was informed that geek squad needed to inspect the television in order to make sure I hadn't damaged it by pressing the pressure points. After waiting about two and a half hours, I was informed that they couldn't return the goods. that because I broke the tv in half, there is nothing they can do about it. They continued to argue that it isn't their problem even after I told them that there was no way I could have broken the television. When I asked the manager to give me a call, I was informed that she was worse than we were. I was told that I should simply check with another store to see if they will accept this return. I continued to stare at the individual, perplexed as to why the $800 tv couldn't be returned the $800 television. NEVER PURCHASE TVS FROM BEST BUY. Don't give your money to people who don't care about or believe their customers; instead, visit another store.

My mom got me this for my birthday, and it's a great tablet for drawing and if it heats up a bit than it's a great hand warmer 😫 ...as well. Edit: The same tablet broke on me because it was never meant to last. What!? Why sell them. Went to Best Buy, and they can't do anything to help with this situation. The employee that works there recommended me this tablet and not a drawing tablet. I ended up wasting $800+ dollars to get a good computer and an actual drawing tablet. It's best to tell your workers that if they don't know what they're offering to the customer, to just confirm with another well-knowledge worker. Don't guess that if it has a touch screen, and a pen can be used on it, that it'll be good to just call it a drawing tool. I was new to the whole drawing thing, I was even looking for a specific device, and he ends up showing me a tablet that couldn't last past 5 years.

And to repair tv would have been 1098 dollars. Well no thanks called the store and asked for store manager and got the rudest store manager. He did not want to talk with me and did not want to hear what I had to say. I will ļæ¼never ever ever set foot or buy anything from any Best Buy throughout the country. Take my word for it and save yourself some grief do not buy from Best Buy ļæ¼

Subject: Formal Complaint and Demand for Immediate Resolution of Data Loss – Service Order #1784-250820-81095

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding the gross mishandling of my computer service at Best Buy Store #1784 in McAllen, Texas, which has resulted in the loss of critical data valued in the thousands of dollars.

I brought my computer to this location under Service Order #1784-250820-81095 for a straightforward hard drive upgrade and gave explicit instructions to back up all files prior to installation of the new drive. When I returned to pick up my device, I was assured by your staff that all of my data had been successfully preserved. However, upon requesting that the computer be powered on in the store to confirm, I discovered that my data had been completely erased and that the ā€œbackupā€ your staff created contained almost no information.

I was instructed to leave the computer for further recovery efforts, including an Apple specialist who was supposedly going to perform a disk recovery and use additional software to retrieve my data. I complied and left it for another week at your request, extending the total service time to 16 days. This morning (sept 2nd) I received a text stating the computer was ā€œready,ā€ but when I picked it up, my files were still missing.

To make matters worse, when I spoke with the General Manager, Ileana Torres, of Store #1784 today, she was completely unaware of this situation—clearly demonstrating a serious breakdown in internal communication and oversight, compounding the negligence already displayed in handling my property.

Despite repeated assurances, only 13GB of data have been recovered from a fully loaded 256GB drive containing valuable contracts, business records, and irreplaceable files. This represents an egregious failure to provide reasonable care and constitutes clear negligence. I also spoke with the Geek Squad supervisor, who said she could send the computer for a hard drive recovery to attempt retrieval. Two additional weeks have now passed with no resolution and no further recovery of data.

I hold Best Buy fully responsible for the following: Loss of data and consequential damages caused by your mishandling of my property. Failure to meet basic industry standards for data protection and backup procedures. Misrepresentation of services in assuring me my files would be safely backed up. Failure of management oversight, as even the store’s General Manager was uninformed of this serious incident.

This is not merely a customer service issue—it is a breach of professional duty. I expect an immediate response and a plan...

Yeah, dude, this place is just awful. First Product I am a big gamer, and recently I bought a PS5 Pro and realized let me see some possible accessories like headsets, chargers, storage explanations, etc. It is not once in a while or anything, but every single time the shelves would just be empty. They do have a lot of controllers and charging stations but only display 3-5 headsets at most and no storage expansion, which is just flat-out disappointment. Second, nobody can help you. There is nobody that will help you with what you need in the gaming section at all. Recently, when I went there, the only person who knew what I was talking about was on the complete opposite side of the store, and just recently, nobody again was there to help us out, and the person they sent us didn't know anything at all about what I was talking about. It's not their fault they are doing the best they can, and that's ok, but why send someone who does not know what they are talking about? It's just best to tell me they don't know what they are doing than me wasting my time. Third Why the hell am I calling a ā€œrepresentativeā€ of your Best Buy over simple questions I called Best Buy? The one here was still awful and uninformed. I wanted to ask if they had the product I was looking for available, but it would make more sense if someone who is calling from the store to answer the question that a ā€œrepresentativeā€ and proceed to tell me you can pick it up in Corpus Christi casually, which is a 2 1/2 hour drive best case scenario of not stopping and then another 2 1/2 hour drive back, so in total a 5-hour drive at best for a product the website claimed to have? Following this, I still went to your Best Buy as it claimed it had the product I wanted, so why is it when I show up it isn't there? Overall review: I would just ask to sell the place and have another business take over, as it will give someone a new opportunity to appreciate the area they have near the conversation center rather than another store, which is...

Worst Experience Ever! On 05/01/2024 I purchased a LG Washer from Best Buy West McAllen and made arrangements to use their delivery and installation services with the sales clerk. I was told their next available appointment was on 05/03/2024 and we scheduled it. On 05/03/2024 I received an email from Best Buy stating they had a ā€œglitchā€ in their delivery scheduling system and now my appointment was moved to 05/09/2024. This left me in a huge bind since I had guests arriving that weekend and was relying on having a working washer in my home to keep up with the extra demand. When I spoke with the Scheduling Manager and explained the situation, he told me there wasn’t anything he could do to change the new appointment for 05/09/2024 and offered to give me a gift card to compensate for my inconvenience. On 05/09/2024 things only got worse. The delivery team arrived at my home with the new washer and once they removed the broken washer from the laundry room and set it in the entryway to my living room, they placed the new one in its’s spot and began to work on connecting the hoses to it. Somehow the installers broke the water valves that the hot and cold inlet hoses connect to and we had water gushing everywhere. We had to turn off the water for the entire house to get it to stop. At that point the delivery men left my home, leaving my old, broken washer in the entryway to my living room. After that I received a phone call from Best Buy saying there was an incident in my home with their installation team members and somebody would be contacting me with a claim number within 24-48 hours. I tried calling the number I was given for support and apparently there’s no one to actually speak to because my only option was to leave a message. Now I’m stuck with no running water and an old broken washer in my living room - thank you Best Buy for the wonderful experience...
