NEW YORK NAILS GLAM II — Attraction in Miami

I found this gem some time ago and have had nothing but great experiences with the techs I’ve gotten work from. Jody and Alan took care of me first few times, but my go to is Andrea now. She is amazingly patient with my requests, extremely detailed, works fast and efficiently, and is VERY kind and calm. She does builder gel for me, which helps my fragile nails grow and prevents breakage. I love the techs I’ve had because it can get loud and rowdy in the salon (a lot of women in one place) so the three of them and their calm personalities really make it a relaxing experience for me! Sorry to Jody and Alan, you guys are great but Andrea won me over! Other techs there seem good too, and the owner is nice and greets everyone when she arrives. Worst experience in a salon I’ve ever had. I’ve came here twice to do my acrylic nails with the same lady. She didn’t know how to cut cuticles and made almost all my fingers bleed both times. The first time she said it was because it had been a long time since I didn’t do my nails but the second time she didn’t have any excuse.

During her service, she talked on the phone most of the time (which seemed quite unprofessional and didn't allow me to communicate with her in the process) so I started talking on the phone too. She told other clients about my private conversations and didn't treat me with the integrity and dignity I deserve as a client, absolutely outrageous. The best thing is that I always treated her with respect and even tipped her quite a bit....

I came in about 2 weeks ago for a gel pedicure. I made an appointment and when I arrived it seemed like I was intruding. It appeared that the employees were getting their own nails done and were too busy to attend to the actual customers. My technician did not speak English which made it difficult to communicate what I wanted. I wasn’t offered any options for a pedicure as far as like basic or deluxe etc. The whole experience was rushed and not enjoyable. The technician rushed and therefore hurt me a few times in addition there was no “massage” portion to the pedicure. She rubbed lotion on my legs and wiped it right back off with a towel. Overall I was in and out in 30 mins. My toes look good, but the gel already chipped less than 2 weeks in. I won’t be...
