Raymour & Flanigan Furniture & Raymour & Flanigan Clearance Center has afforded my family and I not only unprofessionalism, disregard, disrespect and unnecessary frustration and anger they too have afforded me damaged furniture that would have added a great deal to my home both, in functionality as well as aesthetically but in the 3 unfortunate instances with delivery causing damage having quality pieces in perfect condition is hard to come by after spending thousands of dollars SMH! - There is no quality customer service offered from this so-called company nor do they offer white glove service! I'm giving ⭐'1 star' although they deserve 0 stars; this place is beyond unprofessional, workers are ignorant and disrespectful - I will NEVER do business with this place again and will take my hard-earned money elsewhere!!
ALL the furniture pieces I've spent hours debating on, looking at in the showroom, and ultimately paying for ($5,000+) has been delivered to me damaged; almost all the pieces had either scratches, chipped/missing stain finish, discoloration, wrinkled tufting, etc. To add insult to injury the delivers acted as if they were doing me a favor rather than providing a service for which I paid for, had no regard for the furniture that was purchased and/or how it was being handled; the pieces weren't wrapped adequately nor were they taken off the truck professionally with care instead the workers acted like savages and were rude as hell especially when given instruction on how to move and where to move the pieces where I wanted them. The pieces I've purchased that were received damaged and/or altered are the following:
The Corsica 6 Piece Entertainment Wall unit - Left/Right Hutch, Left/Right Base for Hutch, Center Console, and Center Bridge; the entire piece came scratched throughout...The left Hutch Base had (2) deep indented scratches which lifted the weathered Grey wash off the wood, the Bridge towards the middle had impression scratches from it leaning on something, the Center Console too had an indented scratch towards the inner lower left side of the console as well as impression scratches in the front of the console, the Right Base was scratched, and the Left Hutch Door with the decorative Cremone Bolt detailing had damage resulting in the Black coating to be lifted off.
The Kendra Server - The back of the server was scratched and the Greyish Brown finish was lifted/scraped off the front right leg and side left leg.
The Birmingham King Size Bed - Upholstered Diamond Tufted Headboard came wrinkled and the tufting wasn't as I saw it in-store: tightly tufted; it was delivered with wrinkles and drooping folds.
The Birmingham 2-Door Mirrored Chest - The top of the Chest/Framing is chipped and scratched exposing the inner color of the wood; the grey stain is completely lifted off, the left mirrored door is scratched and the 2 doors collectively aren't aligned nor do they close correctly; you have to apply great pressure in-order for the doors to close which shouldn't be taking place. I waited 2+ weeks for this piece to be delivered rather than the 3 days the company promises for delivery; I waited another week to get a replacement and when the replacement arrived it too was damaged. The Chest wasn't level on the floor, had discolored staining different from the other Birmingham pieces I've purchased, the inner drawers weren't aligned, and AGAIN the mirrored doors weren't aligned nor did they close correctly without pressure.
All-in-all I've received damaged furniture that I've paid thousands for - I would have preferred and/or required for the pieces of furniture I took so much time in considering and paying so much for to have been delivered to me in the SAME condition as they were online and/or on the showroom floor NOT deteriorated upon receiving...The delivery service and lack of customer service on all ALL accounts was most definitely substandard and not worthy of what Raymour & Flanigan alleges to be known for: high quality, this is a lie and pure...
Read moreI visited the Raymour & Flanigan showroom on Monday with the intent to purchase a sofa for my daughter. While my initial interaction with a sales associate was pleasant, she was helpful and attentive, my overall experience at this location was deeply disappointing and ultimately disturbing.
While we were near the front entrance discussing a few options, a young African American woman entered and politely asked to speak with a manager regarding a job application she had submitted. She was calm, respectful, and simply seeking a follow-up. However, the way she was treated was absolutely unacceptable. Another African American employee, a woman with dreadlocks, approached her and responded with an incredibly rude and dismissive attitude. There was no professionalism, empathy, or basic courtesy extended toward this woman.
What made matters worse was what followed. After the applicant kindly said she would wait to speak with a manager and walked around the store, I overheard several staff members including the woman who initially addressed her, mocking her appearance. They made derogatory comments about her hairstyle, her tattoos, and her overall look. It was not only distasteful, it was cruel, unprofessional, and completely inappropriate for any workplace, let alone a customer-facing one.
To make matters worse, when the sales manager finally came over to answer a question I had about the warranty, he seemed unprepared and uninterested. He gave a vague explanation and, frankly, looked unkempt, his blazer was stained, and his overall appearance suggested a lack of basic hygiene or professionalism.
I was moments away from completing my purchase, but after witnessing how this team treated someone simply inquiring about a job, I could not in good conscience give them my business. I took my business to Norwalk instead, where I felt respected and where people understand the value of human decency.
It costs nothing to treat others with kindness and respect. Sadly, what I witnessed at this Raymour & Flanigan location showed a complete disregard for both. Not every person walking through the door is a guaranteed sale, but every person deserves to be treated with dignity. I won’t be returning, and I would never recommend this location based on how they...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed and frustration with my recent experience at this furniture store. I purchased a bed from your establishment, expecting a quality product and professional service. However, my experience has been anything but satisfactory.
First and foremost, I was not informed that the bed I purchased was a floor model. It was only after the transaction was completed that I discovered this fact. This lack of transparency is highly deceptive and unacceptable. As a paying customer, I should have been made aware that I was purchasing a product that had been used and potentially subjected to wear and tear.
To make matters worse, within less than three days of bringing the bed home, it broke. Naturally, I reached out to your store seeking assistance. However, the employee I spoke with was incredibly rude and unhelpful. Instead of offering solutions or attempting to rectify the situation, they dismissed my concerns and showed a complete lack of empathy.
Frustrated by the lack of assistance from the employee, I requested to speak with a manager. Despite my request, I was merely told that I would receive a callback. Regrettably, I never received that call. This disregard for customer service is deeply disappointing and reflects poorly on your establishment.
As a result of this experience, I have lost all trust and confidence in your branch location. I can assure you that I will never spend another dime at your store and will actively discourage friends and family from doing so as well.
I expected a prompt response to this complaint and a resolution to the issues I have raised. I trusted that you guys would have taken the necessary steps to address this matter and prevent similar incidents from occurring...
