So sad to leave a negative review for this place. It has such beautiful works of art. Our eight year old daughter and myself love art galleries and decided to go in to check it out and perhaps purchase something neat. We had her twin two year old brothers with us- my husband and I each holding one with the intent that they could not touch anything. Never once were the toddlers allowed to roam or not hold our hands/be carried. The minute we walked into this gallery we were not only not greeted with any “hello” or “welcome” but were met with very nasty looks given by both store workers. We would never allow our twins to touch anything except one shelf of stuffed animals, even still with us right there and holding their hands. The workers were continually giving us very unkind looks and whispering with each other. They began following us around and going ahead of us roping off areas of the store so as to prevent us from entering them. It was very apparent they did not want us there and was very uncomfortable. We had done nothing wrong. We would have never allowed our children to run around or touch anything or be disrespectful and yet we were treated very poorly. They did not speak a word to us, not one thing. Just a slew of passive aggressiveness and unkind actions and assumptions. Very unnecessarily rude. Apparently if you have children of any age regardless of their level of responsibility or yours, you’re not welcome here. Makes me sad. Some people still believe some children can be enriched by an environment other than a fast food playground. There are a lot of parents out there who ensure their children are responsible in situations like these and treatment like this is very...
Read moreIn Moab for the weekend 3/21-25, for wife’s work. I walked most of Main Street today 3/22, both sides. Visited nearly all the shops that were open. Mixed vibes on some, warm reception on others. Lema’s was an exception. Treated with courtesy and respect. Plenty of conversation with both clerks. The store has many fine pieces of artwork, decor, gifts and much more. Much of it handmade by artisans from all walks of life. Tony and I must’ve looked at a dozen knives before landing on the one I thought my wife would like the best. She really likes Damascus blades and since we both love elk hunting; I think I made the right choice. When we met for lunch later; she got to see her new blade and loved it and the belt sheath that came with it. It will probably see some work tomorrow. I feel bad she’s working and I get to do all the shopping, but she reaps the benefits. Haha. Thanks to Tony and Lema’s for a wonderful cap to my morning and the quality shopping experience and...
Read moreFantastic inventory! Never before seen items. Prices very reasonable. Staff is friendly and helpful. If you find something you like, buy it then and there! Don't hesitate like I did. I ended up forgetting about an item I had planned on going back and getting if I didn't find something I liked better. Needless to say, I didn't find something I liked better and I totally forgot about going back to get this one! I've looked for months, wracking my brain, to find the name of this shop to see if they can send the item to me. Hopefully, they can. It is so easy to get caught up in all the amazing beauty surrounding the Moab area - its as if God Himself placed His majestic hand on the land and created sights no human can even fathom. It is totally a bucket list destination! So, set your mind at ease, and get while the gettins good! Then you can focus your entire being on the wonders of our...
