I’ve spoken with the city numerous times about the traffic light at Duarte and Myrtle flashing red at times because of the railroad. Since people in California are dumb and don’t know how to drive the flashing red has almost caused an accident on numerous occasions. I tried to inform public Work of this issue and they said the timing is controlled by the metro line but I talked with the metro line department and they said no the traffic lights are controlled by public works so we have two government agencies pointing the finger at each other neither one willing to call me back and neither one willing to actually investigate this potential accident causing situation. Read moreI complained about tree roots damaging the street that I live on. I received an email the day that I reported it with a work order. The next day I received another email notifying me that it has been resolved so I went outside to check and no it was not. I went into the office and then they told me that another resident complained about it 1 year ago and it’s in progress. I asked them why it’s taking so long to fix it and they couldn’t give me an answer. Their priority is hanging Christmas lights on Myrtle that they don’t have time to actually fix things that they’re actually supposed to. Read moreMonrovia Public works found my dog who got out of a gate at 5:45am. I had been looking for her and calling her in the fog and rain but couldn’t find her. I saw one of their trucks and waved them down and started to tell them I was looking for my dog and they said they had already found her and were looking for who had lost their dog. They were so nice and made sure my dog was safe when they saw her loose. I can not thank them enough!!
