I’m surprised at the 5⭐️ review by Whitney. No one was impressed with Myra. I never saw her speak kindly to any vendor. She would angrily walk through the aisles with her head down. She never came up to us and welcomed us, asked if we needed anything, asked how we were doing, thanked us for being there or even said hi. She gave everyone a hard time Sunday. She and some staff tried to block the doors Sunday around 5:00 to stop vendors from trying to make tear down easier. My husband told her to move or be moved out of the way. She stepped aside. The front doors were locked and no new people were coming in at 5:00. Just about everyone had left. They wouldn’t open the gate by the docks for people to even get situated to pack and go. Some day, someone is going to sue her for trying to stop them! For someone who has been running and owning this event for 40-plus years, she has no people skills. It’s all about how she and her event will look. No one was happy or impressed by her! She didn’t have a kind word for us or around us from Wednesday to Sunday! The demographics here was 85% seniors. If you have products for seniors, book this next year. Some people were unhappy that there were duplicate vendor types. This does happen at shows. It could have been better, but to me, it wasn’t too bad. We sell candles & soaps, and I thought the mix was good. Each of us had different types of products. All but one was soy. Scentsy had their paraffin poison, but people love that company. She also had different prices for each vendor. Tons of people were upset about that! One vendor paid $300 for a 10X10 that was up by the front door, where we paid $400 for our booth that was in the middle. Then she charged a $14 processing fee for the booth. No vendor got free parking with their booth fees. The food court was awful!! They had the concession stand then 2 food vendors and one dessert vendor in their food court. The Asian food was dry! The Italian food vendor has great foot but it was 3 bites of food. We will never go back to this event. We did make sales, but not like we should have. We made enough money to cover our expenses . We did NOT make much profit! The demographics do not fit this event. They need to just make more space for Christmas decor for the seniors to look at, sell canes, tea, shawls, pain relief products and things like that. Hey, no offense to seniors. I’m almost there. But that’s what’s there. And Myra needs to read up on How to Win Friends and Influence People because she has ZERO...
Read moreI attended this show a few years ago and thought I would try it again this year. Will not go again. We were practically accosted at the end of every isle by people trying to sell us face creams, etc., they were very aggressive. I guess they don’t get the traffic in the malls anymore and now are setting up shop at craft shows. I also made the mistake of entering my info on an ipad before you even get in the show. It’s supposed to be a chance to win $5k but is really about trying to sign you up for a 1 hour presentation for cruises and other vacations. I have since started getting tons of scam calls. Should have known...
Read moreWhat a fun way to spend a rainy day! Our little ones loved all the amazing things to see. Pretend snow to play in, a giant snow globe that you could climb inside, gorgeous Christmas trees, a joggeling board, Christmas carol characters walking around in full character, Santa’s castle and so much yummy food! I found the perfect handmade gift for one of our girls and thoroughly enjoyed watching the Christmas sparkle through our children’s eyes. I haven’t attended the Dickens show since I was a little girl, but I think our family will definitely be making this a tradition...
