The worst experience ever by Nictoria (outdoor gondola gate employee on 08/08/2025 between 10:15 pm and 10:45 pm) and her manager Erika on duty on the day. If we could give 0 or minus star for overall experience at Venetian resort, we would give it to them. In advance my husband and I purchased 2 tickets for outdoor gondola ride and also we have been staying at the resort as well. We were told by the gate person Nictoria (that was extremely sarcastic and disrespectful to us) and manager Erika to pay for 2 more tickets for empty seats so we can get a private ride. A woman in front of us purchased only 1 ticket for cash and got a private ride just for her. We were absolutely ok to wait. The place was quite empty and there were no people behind us at all for some time and a few empty gondolas were waiting for people to take. Two girls that came later after us mentioned that they purchased 2 tickets only and they were boated for a private ride even though we were still staying in the line before them. We asked for work credentials of both (Nictoria and Erika) so we can refer their rude behavior towards us to upper management. They refused rudely to provide any information. We feel that we were discriminated by Nictoria and Erika because we are white people. When we came to the front desk to ask about upper management credentials, manager Jessica H. said that gondola employees are third party employees and she can not assist and that was not true because later we got a confirmation from another employee that gondola people are the Venetian resort employees. There are other places you can spend your money on in Las Vegas and get a better customer service and this is what we personally value a lot. Unfortunately 2 employees (Nictoria and Erika) of Venetian resort made our stay negatively memorable. Nictoria was quite sure that she will get away with her rude behavior towards us and management will not say a thing. Nictoria kept saying with a sarcastic smile on her face that "we will lose". Very sad that it's like that at the Venetian resort. The service was rudely declined by Nictoria and Erika even though we paid for it. Thanks to both of them ruining our stay and...
Read moreWe walked into the gift shop 1st, no one was waiting in line so we approached the register. The young lady was very nice but the system just crashed. We waited about 10 minutes and she said to go outside that that one works. So we went outside only to be told their system just crashed too. Waited another 10 minutes before they told me that the one inside just started working. So we went inside and guess what, it went down again. Finally started to work and payed for the outside ride.
At this time we were annoyed but happy that we were able to ride alone. The ride was very nice and the boat was beautiful with red seats, and they took pictures for us. The gondolier was great and sang very nice. They create a nice getaway from the high energy las Vegas strip and you start to feel relaxed and closer to your partner on the ride because all the plans or times for shows that are on your mind just drift away like the gondola does in the stary night and beautiful architecture. Very special moment.
When we got off my wife was excited to purchase the pictures. When we got to the photo booth they told us that the memory card wasnt formatted correctly and all the photos are gone. We asked if they were serious because we couldnt imagine such a expensive 10 minute ride to have so many technical issues. They said sorry. So seeing the joy in my wife getting crushed I quickly asked if we can retake the photos, the older lady at the gate didnt look too happy about it but they let us on a different gondola that had green seats (just to take pictures). It wasnt the same and killed the mood for the night. It took a while to be able to cheer her up again.
I took pics to write a good review, even after the system going down for a while. It wasnt even busy so it is surprising that they wouldnt at least check their memory card or make sure...
Read moreThe Gondola will always hold a special place in my heart.
Cousin, his fiance, wife and I all rode this together for the first time. My cousin, proposed to his soon to be bride, during the middle of the ride, which was accompanied by tons of onlookers and clapping. We were able to catch the entire thing on video and it was a great and special moment in time.
With all of that being said...
The reality of this ride is its probably far to over priced and aside from the experience of having said you done it, jokes, and romantic songs of the gondolier, which all seem to have relatively great voices, the fact is its a fifteen minute ride that doesn't offer any type of real view that you couldn't already get from simply walking.
I had expected a more in depth tour, through special corridors or a telling of the history of Gondolas, but, the ride itself, and we did solely the indoor one (planned for both but didn't think the first was worth enough to justify the second), is simply a fifteen minute paddle through the waterway within the mall in which you've already likely walked and seen.
The gondolier, who make the entire ride worth while, mention too, at the end of the ride that they're only operating by tips, pressuring you to spend more.
Look, I know it's Vegas, and everything cost money but it's just not worth the price beyond a one time experience.
Much like some of the other major attractions in the major resorts, this is another, that comes with a ton of hype but doesn't quite deliver.
Enjoy the ride once, or for romantic appeal with a partner, but outside of that, it's unlikely something you'll consider having been worth the price tag, nor, something you'll...
