Park Ave Barbershop — Local services in New York

This is my favorite barbershop in NYC. I started coming here 5 or 6 years ago after a string of disappointing experiences at other barbershops in the area. After a few cuts here I knew this was the place for me.

The haircuts I've received here have consistently been great. Although I have a buzzcut the barbers will spend as much time on my hair as they would on a longer cut. The attention to detail really makes a difference - I look and feel great after leaving this place and regularly get compliments about my hair. Manny, John, and Nick have all given me cuts in the past. John also started giving me beard trims - he does a great job for half the price of my previous beard guy.

Considering the quality cuts I've received here over the years, the prices are a steal. The banter at this barbershop is also top tier. The guys have known each other - and their regulars - for a long time so there's always an interesting discussion or some friendly...

I've been to 3 different barbers in brooklyn (I recently moved there) in the last few months, each of them screwing up something on my hair. Not only that, but one of the places upped their rate to $50 (before tip) for a basic cut, which is CRIMINAL.

I get regular haircuts - every 2-3 weeks minimum - and so finding the right barber is up on the list of most important things in my life. I was finally recommended Park Ave Barbershop from a friend (specifically the barber Jon) and he did not disappoint. Fixed me right up and I will absolutely be going back. Cheap Haircuts are definitely not good haircuts, learned the hard way. Came in for the first time noticed their was a line and decided to get a cheap cut at classic barbershop which was just acouple blocks away and always empty (go figure). To my surprise got butchered by a guy who couldn’t even understand what I was telling him, had to call in a translator. Paid $25 and looked like I had tried cutting my hair myself, crooked lines no fade what so ever.
