Aldi Supermarket/Grocery store, though its been in the neighborhood for a relatively short time is an up and coming contender for Best New Store in Bronx Hub Area. Initially I wasn't very impressed with their selection, variety and quantities on hand I'd their selected stock but they have steadily improved in each area and now they are continually growing and adding new products to their lineup. Their "Millville" brand products, which are usually their version of brand name items, are on par or in some cases better than their well known competitors. The store is well maintained and organized, tho u may need to walk down each aisle as they are continually updating and adding new products. It is conveniently located in the Hub Area on Third Avenue and there is a parking facility (haven't used it yet) practically next door. I've only gone there maybe 5 or so times but each visit I am more impressed than the previous visit. Customer service and checkout was a pleasant experience and everyone seemed friendly and helpful.....I left pricing for last as this is perhaps their best attribute.... the price is much more than competitive; they are practically unbeatable in a majority of their selection and I would highly recommend Aldi's to anyone on a limited budget or if you just want to save some of your hard earned $$$, check 'em out! I surmise that you will have an enjoyable experience..... they're making me a believer! ...
Read moreIt's my favorite Aldi. Even though it's busy, the staff always make sure to keep the chaos controlled and mess to a minimum. If there's something on the shelf that's run low, they actually go in the back to check, not just say "if it's gone, it's gone". I come here even though it's an hour from my house
Update: workers are still fantastic. There was a meat set called grill master. Comes with different meats and it's for like $60. When i opened the box, if I had bought them separately, it would have been over $200. Anywho.
I didn't see it on the floor and I took a shot at asking a random guy in the aisle if he worked there. He did, but was clocked out. I asked him if he knew where they were, he said "you're going to make me work off the clock aren't you" but in a lighthearted way. I told him I just couldn't find it and the sale had just started that day. He disappeared, and I thought that was all she wrote, but a few minutes later he brought me the box 🥳. They must just keep it in the back to curb theft. It was awesome of him to go look for it, even though he didn't have to.
This is by far my favourite location. It might have a lot of boxes, but there are never moldy products or rude staff. Other locations are questionable. I wish I had asked him his name, but he knows who he is and how...
Read moreNormally things have been decent-good at best. However today the two cashiers were very nasty and were rushing everyone. One of them was dark skin lady with a pink bandanna. The other was a fair skinned girl with red hair. When asking to buy a paper or recyclable bag they said they didn't have any. As soon as I start gathering my things to go. The two open boxes with new bags of both styles. It was completely weird and honestly made it feel like they didn't appreciate me shopping there. I consistently shop there and now that they did this while small it does show how terrible the workers are. They also don't have people skills and have a bad demeanor. They are unhappy and miserable. The hiring staff needs to do a better job. Why were there over 100 people waiting to be checked out by 2 yes 2 cashiers. There should be 5 cashiers to help clear the lines and provide better customer service. Also have bags ready for the customers. I left the store with two boxes covering the items I purchased and it’s snowing outside. Just horrible I'd say only go here if it’s a last resort but your business and money is better...
