Love this place but I feel like some employees are not friendly: I went in to see thunderbolts with my cousin and they told me they don’t accept cash anymore. I always paid with cash. Then they told me I needed to go to the machine to turn the money into a gift card. when I first told the lady how I do it she gave me a sigh like if I was bothering her. then another African American lady with short hair gave me a nasty attitude. I asked for the lilo and stitch combo and she ask which one I wanted. Since the tins and cups was behind concessions I couldn’t see. From far away it looked like two different color tins and different cups. When i asked does she mean the toppers she sorta of yelled aggressively with an attitude. Im an introvert and I normally stay quiet and that’s what I did. it’s 2025, leave that attitude at home. Treat others how you want to be treated. this isn’t really an issue but I’m gonna start coming here less because it’s a pain to put the money in a gift card. That’s too much work. when I’m at concessions I don’t know what I’m gonna buy and when I finally figure it out I have to get off line to go on the machine. this is a inconvenience.

solid movie theater to catch a mainstream movies in the East Village. there are multiple theaters on each floor and the ones i have seen movies in are a bit on the smaller side versus a suburban multiplex…however they are well-maintained and relatively clean. in terms of watching movies, there are no bad viewing seats in the way these theaters are set up…even sitting in the front row isn’t tawful bc of the comfy reclining seats and how far they lean/recline back. concessions are on the street level—thought the popcorn was a little dry the last time I was here but whatever. this theater is super vertical so be prepared to take escalator upon escalator to get to the upper theaters. staff are helpful—had an issue with one ticket in purchased and they took care of it fairly quickly. downloading the AMC app is a pro move bc of its reward benefits if you are a frequent moviegoer or just want the convenience of pre purchasing your tickets and food ahead of time

I try to frequent AMC village 7 when I can as an avid movie goer. It's quiet and clean. I usually go to AMC 42nd because of the more times and movies available. However, that can come with a lot of noise while watching the movie. I had the pleasure of stopping in and seeing Nightswim. Staff is very friendly, and it's a pleasure to see our elders working and still going strong. The theater was clean, seats comfortable, and no unruly loud people during the movie, always the best. Popcorn was really good. I didn't need any salt at all. My drink is usually a combination of peach, cherry, strawberry, low calories, or no sugar lemonade. Nightswim wasn't as bad as I've heard. The movie kept me engaged and showed the bond and love a father had for his family. The seating is very comfortable, and the chairs actually recline all the way back. Some recliners in their other theaters dont, and you can actually enjoy the movie in peace.

A HUGE shout out to AMC employees Rory, Endorien, and Cameron for saving my mom tonight. I took her to see Superman, and she ended up being rescued by these three real-life superheroes when the elevator broke. They practically carried her down three flights of stairs! These incredibly altruistic men sprang into action when I explained that my mom had recently broken her hip and was at high risk for falling again if she tried to take the escalator with her walker. Rory immediately went to consult his manager, Rosie, and even suggested calling the fire department for assistance. But Rory quickly decided it was better to handle it himself, asking Endorien and Cameron to assist him. They patiently and respectfully waited while my mom used the bathroom, and then Rory and Endorien each took an arm and gently walked her down the stairs, while Cameron stood guard to catch her if she slipped or fell. My mom joked that she’d never been escorted by such handsome young men before! But seriously, it was clear these three men genuinely cared about my mom’s well-being and treated her like she was their own family. I snapped photos because I wanted the world to see the faces of these great people with huge hearts. When we reached the bottom, Rosie was there to greet us with a smile and cheered on her staff for going above and beyond. It was clear that this kindness starts from the top down. If you're ever at this theater and see any of these amazing young men, know that there are still truly good people in this world—especially at a time when it can sometimes feel like kindness is hard to find. These guys are real Super Men, and I’ll be forever grateful for their compassion and care! Thank you so...

I’ve been coming to this AMC for about 8 years … now that I work in the area I recommend it to my guest; my experience has been typical; purchase ticket, enjoy the movie & leave. However my most recent experience started off poorly, until the manager CHARLOTTE effectively turn the experience around. The kid working at the entrance scanned our ticket and gave us the wrong theater location, he initially had to switch machines so I’m assuming something was wrong. We sat in the theater for 30mins watching the credits, soon as the movie started we knew it was the wrong theater. After informing him of his error he took zero accountability; he literally said to me “why would you sit in the wrong movie for so long” when I then reminded him of something called credits. He then shouted for Charlotte; this review is simply to highlight how amazing she was. She apologized for the error, and offered us more than enough compensation to rectify the issue, she was prompt, and sincere. She went above and beyond to ensure she turned the situation around, she didn’t know my loyalty to the location, she didn’t know my title & how much I recommend this location, she simply focused on me being a customer that had an issue and she had the authority to make the situation better. Shoutout to Charlotte and how amazing she is; would definitely hire her any day and I hope AMC recognizes how great she is. Without her I simply would have never returned. Thanks...
