Came here late on a Saturday night for the all you can eat option. If you're a night owl with madddd munchies like me then you should totally check this place out! It's a tad pricey but the value is really worth it!
The vibe was great, even late into the night, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. For the late night ayce option you order your broths and meats on an iPad / tablet, and then you go to the buffet tables where you can choose from a variety of other ingredients to cook in the broth as well as sides and sauces. They had a nice selection of ingredients, including meats, seafood, fungi, vegetables, and noodles. I was very satisfied with the options! Although I did find myself wanting another kind of noodle or two.
I ended up going for both the spicy broth and the creamy pork broth, and was satisfied with both. Both broths were rich, smooth, and aromatic with the spicy one being my preferred of the two because of its extra zing. As for the meats, I ended up going for the ribeye, the lamb shoulder, and the pork belly. The quality of the meats was amazing! All three meats were sliced thinly and elegantly, allowing them to cook after just seconds in the broth. The ribeye was my favorite of the three. It was so tender it melted in my mouth! The lamb shoulder packed a punch flavor wise, standing up to the flavors of the broth and the sauce. The pork belly was also good, rich and mild with a nice balance of lean and fat. I ended up ordering the ribeye and the lamb again because I liked them so much! As for the other ingredients I tried the whole shrimp, napa cabbage, lotus and lotus root, soft tofu, crystal noodles, mung bean noodles, beef balls, beef tripe, cuttlefish, shiitake mushrooms, wood ear mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, bamboo shoots, seaweed knots, bean curd, fish roe balls, quail eggs, sausage, and kimchi. I'd say my favorites of the ingredients were the beef balls, the shrimp (if you're willing to peel them), the fish roe balls, the enoki mushrooms, the bean curd, the mung bean noodles, and the quail eggs. Everything was good though to be honest! Apparently they have soft serve ice cream as dessert too which I'll totally try next time.
I would definitely recommend coming here late night for the all you can eat option, the food is high quality and the service is awesome. Hopefully I'll get a...
Read moreFirst, the front doors are heavy. Pull HARD, they’re not locked.
Walked in on a weekday around 6pm without a reservation. Place filled up though. Good looking interior while not being super high end, so you can get by dressing casually. Works for families and dates.
Service was slow, and I suspected the kitchen, probably the meat cutting person/team. The customer-facing service team was good, quick to seat us, answer questions, good English, refilled the broths, etc. But the soups were boiling and the drinks were melting while our impatience and hunger grew as the meats were missing. The second round of ordering resulted in the same lengthy wait. This was the weakest part of the dining experience.
The strongest part was definitely the food quality. For a party of two, we ordered chef’s creamy pork broth, silky spicy broth, splurged on A5 Miyazaki Wagyu and Grand Cru Wagyu thick cut, beef short (USDA PRIME), lettuce, a choy, and rice. We could tell the difference in quality of the meats, but honestly, what really shone was the FLAVOR. My preference = the Chinese broths beat Korean and Japanese hot pot/shabu shabu every time. The house-made dipping sauce that a staff makes right in front of you is not too salty or sweet or tangy; it’s well-rounded and doesn’t overpower the meats and vegetables. That sauce is so good that I finished off the lettuce by eating it with that sauce.
Because the flavor is so good, I think that if I were a local I would be totally fine with ordering the cheapest cuts of meat. Furthermore, best bang for buck would be the late night $45 all you can eat that runs from 9:30pm to midnight.
We tried two cocktails. The Crush Grape Gummy was okay, I personally wouldn’t order again. The Tender Melody was a winner, but maybe that’s because we love lychee. We ended with vanilla ice cream cones, which were also good. I particularly enjoyed its soothing effect on my tongue after the spicy broth. For the spicy lovers, you can order the broth next level spicy by specifying Szechuan.
Would we come back? Yes, but with the hope that the kitchen was just having an off day (maybe they were short staffed). If they’re slow again, we’d probably find another hot pot place to try (there...
Read moreThis place was a BLAST!!! The vibe inside was so nice and the tables were great. They accommodate larger groups which was perfect!! They had a bunch of “sets” which you could get that was pretty perfect. Comes with an app, a platter of your meat of choice, various veggies, noodles, and UNLIMITED SOFT SERVE!!!
The hot pot was great, I loved that everyone gets their own personal small pot! As opposed to other places where the table has one large pot and you have to have a designated cooker and you lose track of whats going in lol. Here everyone got to choose their own items and their own broth flavors. I got the smooth pork broth which was very well flavored and creamy, as well as the spicy broth which had a nice amount of heat to it.
Starting with the app, I chose the cucumber salad and it was pretty tasty! Sweet, salty, refreshing, fun to eat.
For the meat I chose the flat iron beef, idk why this one was calling to me but it was really good. It cooked so quick like about 10-15 seconds in the broth.
I chose the deluxe veggie platter for my sides and I’m so glad I did because it came with PUMPKIN and POTATOES!!! I put the potatoes in right at the start so that theyd cook about halfway into my meal. The pumpkin was amazinggggg so genius to have that in hot pot. The rest of the veggies were standard but really nice to have.
For the noodles I chose the hand pulled noodles and they were really nice too. Very very long so I recommend ripping them in half before you put them in to cook because fishing them out was so difficult, but well worth it because they soak up the broth really well.
They also had a sauce bar to make your own sauces. They premade us one that was pretty good but i’m all about that sesame and garlic sauce so I went and made that and it was so good.
The sauce bar also had a bunch of other goodies like candies and little panda marshmallows which was perfect for… THE UNLIMITED SOFT SERVE!!! And it was my FAVORITE kind of soft serve like the one that is a bit watery and icey but still vanilla and delish. Wowww i could eat gallons of that.
What a GREAT place I had so much fun here!!! I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I...
