Arts In Action VAP — Attraction in New York

Not a good program and definitely do not recommend. My kids did not enjoy class at all and they have a terrible cancellation policy. It's a staid environment. Just look into the eyes of the children in the class - most look like they want to be rescued. Angela does not know how to work with kids and makes them feel bad about themselves if they don't listen perfectly to what she says. She does not know how to nurture or create an environment were kids feel they can experiment or be really creative. She also does not know how to communicate with parents and is not at all open to feedback. She walked away in the middle of a conversation, refusing to hear feedback or even engage in a conversation. I studied at Arts in Action VAP for over five years and my experience was truly amazing. Angela used her expertise to guide me in my preparation in my portfolio for both my high school and college applications. Besides that I also worked on still life, painted, used charcoal, sketched and more. I got to explore every kind of tool and method in the art world and I found what I liked best and didn't. We love Arts in Action. My daughter started the sessions at the age of 7 and she has been in love with the program ever since. Angela and the staff are totally amazing, they are professional, they treat the children equally and they are all so well-spoken. It is a beautifully safe and comfortable environment. Truly amazing to see how much my daughter has grown and learned from these sessions. Everyone’s hard work at Arts in Action truly shows, and it is appreciated.
