This is a bar that I have come to twice as an icebreaker with the new dates and both times we were given poor service. The first time my date and I sat at the bar and we weren’t given as much attention or fast service as the other white customers around us. The second time I came my day, and I sat at a table and a waitress came up and asked for our IDs. My date was good, but then the waitress proceeded to tell me that my ID was invalid, because it was a New York City ID which she was wrong about I had a New York State nondrivers ID, and she proceeded to tell me that we couldn’t be served so my date and I left did research and came back and addressed the bartender that was on that night, and he went online did his own research and proceeded to mock me while telling the waitress (who we later found out is his wife) telling her that I didn’t take my driving test. The drink he then made me cause me to get sick in the bathroom. Again, I don’t know if these were racially motivated experience. The first time I came was with a young Hispanic woman with curly hair, and the second time I came was with a tall black model with a curly Afro, but seeing as other people have reported feeling racially discriminated against in this is establishment I don’t think it’s a coincidence. I will not be supporting dive bar or any of their sister establishments and will encourage all of my people of color to do the same because it’s clear who they want...
Read moreThe bartenders were friendly and when they were actually waiting on you - pretty accommodating. Wait staff deserves the credit for all 3 stars. But there were a whole lot of negatives. For the very small crowd that was there - less than 25 ppl- the friendly, accommodating bartenders were not very attentive at all. I had to wait and wait and draw considerable attention to myself to order or get a drink. And I was sitting center, at the bar; party of one. The worst side of this place: Obviously the bar can't really be held responsible for drunk Neanderthals looking to thrust themselves onto - or into, rather- undiscriminating women... but I specifically chose this place to AVOID that kind of thing. When one inebriated monkey got in my space, touching me presumptively, (again, right at the bar) started helping himself to my chips n salsa like we had ordered together or something... I looked around like, um is anyone seeing this..?? There was no backup offered, nor was this A hole even warned by the bouncer who sat at the door the entire 2 hours without peeking in or doing a sweep. Like I said, this is to be expected late nights at many bars.. but I did research to find a bar where this kind of thing was NOT typical. Ladies beware - 30-something men can still behave like 20-something men when intoxicated - even at supposedly 30+ casual unassuming bars that come highly...
Read moreCame here last week with some of my co workers and colleagues from the office for dinner and to relax. This place had the BIGGEST pretzel I have ever seen like enough to feed 3 people for a good while. It was thick and tasted amazing! My co workers loved the wings and other great food. We got so much food we forgot wheat we all ordered lol. I got a burger and it was really good. Allison got a salad because she’s vegan and me and the 2 other guys Connor and Luke bullied her because she’s vegan and we cackled a lot about it lol. We love putting our other co workers down. Our job isn’t to build u up it’s to break you down to your core and you build yourself back up. It’s what makes people tougher in life. GET THICK SKIN ALLISON! Me and the guys don’t drink but Allison said the cocktails and beer was really good she will definitely be returning soon for more beer. I really enjoyed myself here as well as the atmosphere here. Service was pretty good as well. Definitely coming back even if just for that big ass pretzel. And yes 18$ is soo worth it for how...
