Cosmopolitan Dental of Brooklyn — Attraction in New York

Don't go there!!A dental nightmare on 86th st.!I was there to fill a tooth(after 6 months the cement in that tooth fell down),and because i had pain in all the molars lower and upper on both sides of my mouth.The dentist was Kale,he made the x-rays and he said to me that i need 2 root canals because i had 2 cavities in 2 molars in the lower right side.I asked to him:can you show to me the cavities on the x-rays please?He answered:no,you can't see them because they are too deep!I said:so how do you know that i have 2 cavities if you are unable to see them ?!?!He continued to lie and say that i need 2 root canals,i have the copies of the x-rays and the next dentist who have seen me said that i don't have any cavity in the 2 molars!!For all the time i was there he continued to repeat to me that i need 2 root canals!He was determined to make root canals in my mouth so when he filled the tooth in the other side(in that tooth there was not cavity,this is what he said and is shown in the x-rays),so he dug,dug and dug i started to feel a pain intermittent in the tooth with all the anesthetic!I asked to him:the reason of the pain and he lied one more time,he said that were the gums,instead he killed the tooth!!After he killed the tooth he said:you need a root canal in this tooth(OF COURSE,HE KILLED IT);SO YOU GO IN THIS DENTAL CENTER WITH GOOD TEETH AND GO BACK AT HOME WITH DEAD TEETH!!!!!I never did any root canal there.A different dentist who have seen me after said:he killed the tooth and filled it in a wrong way too,he left material between my teeth,he said he was not good!After 1 month i went there to complain because the pain was huge in the tooth killed,the secretary answered:and you came here after 1 month?I explained that because he lied to me i thought was a pain in the gum and than the other dentists give to their customers a 6 months warranty on the teeth!The dentist Levinsky was in the other room but he never came to me to apologize or give any explanations,totally careless!!Now if i ever believed in what they said to me now i was with 3 root canals in my mouth and them with several thousands of dollars more in their bank account!!!!!!!!!!I still have the teeth in my mouth,sane,alive,the 2 molars in the lower...

I called after a crown I had put in by another dentist not even a year ago fell out. I was in pain and of course beside myself. The receptionist whose name I cannot remember, couldn't have been nicer. I got an appointment for that very day. When I got there, that receptionist was just as nice and friendly, the assistant that set me up made me feel comfortable, and Dr. Lawrence delivered the terrible news that I was expecting- that I needed a new crown. He was patient, he was kind, he was gentle, he took time to explain everything to me. I was literally in tears. The whole experience could have been the absolute worst but they made it as best as it could be. The crown is $1500. My insurance won't cover it because it's a crown on the same tooth that is not even a year old. I'm still going to try to see if the insurance company will remiemburse me for some of it. I do know that this office and it's members did everything they could for me. There are few times when we are just so volunerable, one of those times is any time at a doctor's office. I'm so glad my friend recommended them. I can not convey the care and time they spent making sure I was OK and explaining everything to me. I'm so thankful. I go back in a few weeks to get my new crown put in and I can't wait. I can already a difference between this temp and the work the other dentist did. I'll be making this office my new dental office. An absolute five star experience! I have been going to Cosmopolitan Dental for the past 3 years. I had been going mostly for tooth cleanings but I have had the occasional emergency. I always see Dr Lawrence. I just recently had a root canal and it was my first and I was very apprehensive and he talked me through everything and erased my fears. He has the most amazing assistant Raquel. She helps him set up everything and she is very compassionate and caring. It's not exactly fun going to the dentist but at least this team make it bearable. Every kind of dental work you have is explained in detail by Dr Lawrence. This has a calming effect on me because obviously like most people I am always nervous in the dental chair! The office is extremely clean and modern. When you come in your greeted by Marietta and Kathryn. They are always so helpful. Many times they have squeezed me in for an appointment when one did not exist because it was an emergency. This is a dental office that I 100% recommend. They are conveniently located in Bay ridge Brooklyn on 86th Street and 4th avenue. The office is accessible by many buses and trains. A truly positive experience.
