DidiNailsNY Russian manicure — Attraction in New York

I have booked the same service for my nails for quite sometime now. During my last visit the nail tech suggested a up charge of a hard gel service that she insisted was necessary due to my nails being long. My nails were in fact not long and I explained to her that I did not want the gel on my nails. I explained to her I like my nails a certain way and she disregarded me by saying it will come out the way that I liked. She basically told me to trust the process. They turned out thick and not to my liking at all! I actually had to return the next day to repay for someone else to fix them. As a courtesy I reached out to them via email to express the fact that the 1st service was done not to my liking. I was then told that "Additionally, agreeing to a hard gel was your choice.". This was not true, as I explained I told the tech I did not want the hard gel. Her being the professional was the one who insisted, so I listened. I was also told " The decision to return for a new manicure was made independently, and there was no prior agreement with us regarding a discount or compensation." This unprofessional response shows that they don't believe in making sure their customers are satisfied, or correcting their wrongs. Very disappointed with the salon. I've been coming here since 07/06/2023.(2 Years now) I am a very loyal costumer never complain always on time, I barely ever reschedule my appointment or ever cancel. I started coming here and fell in love how Kama did my nails ever since the start MY APPOINTMENTS were always with her.(I DONT LIKE CHANGE). Kama left in February. So I've been bounced around ever since trying to find someone that can do my nails how I like them. On MAY 15, 2025 I got my nails done by Aigerim and a week later I had lifting and a broken nail which never used to happen before. They were kind enough to fit me in with someone else in their Queens location Muslima which I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE REPAIR!! so much so I cancelled my appt in the city and reschedule 3 weeks later with her. At the end of my appointment YESTERDAY they notify me that she will no longer be there. I asked where she was going they refused to tell me due to their policy!!! I CALLED TODAY AGAIN AND THEY REFUSE TO TELL ME AGAIN. MIND YOU THEY HAVE CRAZY STRICT POLICIES THAT IVE ALWAYS FOLLOWED AND UNDERSTAND, NO PROBLEM BUT NOW I AM BEYOND DISAPPOINTED. I emailed the business this review out of courtesy but never heard back so I’ve resorted to posting it here because I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the service I receIved.

I usually have an awesome experience when I come here but this time wasn’t. I went in for a gel removal service and the technician they assigned me filed my nails down so much I could literally feel the wind blow on them when I left. My nails are red and weak and extremely paper thin. I had told her after she removed the gel and started filing to please not file too much on my nail but she said “that’s not your nail”. She is the technician so I respected that but I felt it and she disregarded what I said. Now I wish I spoke up again sooner but it is what it is. I will have to grow my nails out and be extra careful doing stuff because anything makes them fold and break easily and it’s painful and uncomfortable.
