If I could turn back the hands of time i will. Customers service don't exist in Huffman and koos books. If you are thinking of doing business with Huffman and koos PLEASE take this advise and go to another furniture store like Macy's or Raymour and flanigan which are only blocks away. I bought a bedroom set from Huffman and koos, came back a year later to get a additional chest and night stand which came up to about $750 with delivery. Put a $200 deposit on it. Got my receipt And started walking out the store. this is where I made the biggest mistake of my life. the salesman with his salesman skills got me to get a sofa. he kept dropping the price at this point I should of follow my gut and just left but I ended up saying okay to the sofa i put a $500 dollor deposit on the sofa. i still own a big balance all on the items and did not set up a delivery date yet.Came home and due to chain of events I could no longer get the big sectional. Went straight to Huffman and koos 2 days later and explain to the saleman my sistuation that I could no longer get the sectional and the $700 dollors in total deposits I would just like to use it and get my chest and nightstand i came in to get in the first place. He said sorry and he couldn't do that. Huffman and koos will charge you $730 for canceling your whole order. What! That's crazy I said " I'm not cancelling the whole order I just can't get the sofa. The saleman said because he later put all the items on one receipt dosnt matter if you want the chest and night stand the whole order has to get cancell so the store is still going to charge you to cancel the sofa, chest and nightstand even if you still want the chest and nightstand. I tryed to work it out with them I even tried to get my bank involved no luck. The end result Huffman and koos want me to pay a $730 cancelation fee and then I can use my $700 deposit to get my chest and night stand seriously? Does that make any sense. Found out later that you can get a full refund within 2 days that's there policy but they printed on my Reciept final sale so I can't get a refund. Its very sad because Huffman and koos has $700 of my hard work money and I have nothing no product, nothing at all. I'm out $700 dollors and empty handed. This is the way no good businesses make there money by making loopholes to catch customers and take money from them. You think Macy's would of did this not at all. i never wanted my money back all I wanted was to use my $700 deposite money to get my chest and nightstand that cost $750 and they won't let that happen. They had to be to greedy. It will be crazy for me to pay $730 so I can use my $700 deposit credit. Any other "real" franchise furniture store would of had no problem working this out with me. So please don't make the same mistake I did and do business with...
Read moreAbsolutely the worst worst worst experience in my life. I have purchased big furniture twice in the past 5 years and this is by far the worst time. The sales people are rude and unprofessional to an extent that made me believe they are being hired by the competition to deliberately drive customers away. The manager told me he doesn't want my kind as a customer when I asked him to be more professional or he will lose customers. They promised to deliver my couch in 10 days but had me sign on a contract that says delivery in 90 days!!!! When the couch finally arrived more than a month and half latter the delivery guys were incompetent and lazy that they could not fit its pieces through a standard door and wanted to leave my $2000 purchase on the side walk!!! My previous furniture was huge and Raymour and flanigan told delivery guys were very profession and did the job with no problem. When I told them this is not right they took it back to the store and when I asked for re-delivery with more competent delivery guys another rude manager told me he is canceling the order, charging me 20% and giving me store credit with the rest! I made the mistake of buying without reading the reviews and hope others learn from my mistake.
UPDATE: My second review about my experience with the product itself was removed by Google, most probably because I made a mistake by writing a new review instead of editing my original one; which I didn't know would be against the Google policy.
I have attached photos of how my $2000 leather sectional looked like after less than one year. Since this was a big investment for me I automatically bought an accidental warranty the day of purchase. When the leather of my sectional started peeling off , leaving a disgusting looking fabric, I called the company right away to activate my warranty. To my shock, they coldly informed me that the warranty does not cover leather problems!!!! I don't really understand how is it possible for an expensive leather couch to peel off the way it appeared in the photos. I also don't understand how is it possible for an accidental warranty not cover leather problems if the couch is made of leather!!!! Please everyone, do not waste your money on accidental warranty before reading every single word prior to signing with these people, and do not just take their word for it as they will trick you into thinking that accidental warranty will give you ultimate peace of mind while in reality it is worthless! I had to buy a custom made fabric cover to hide the tedious sight of what was supposedly a beautiful leather sectional; until I have money to replace it in the future! I also attached a picture of the receipt as a proof that I did buy it from...
