After admiring Amanda's photography for years, I finally reached out to her to photograph my family (myself, an almost six month old, and a reluctant husband). Having a sense of how careful and cautious she had been during the COVID shelter in place order, I felt reassured that she would be careful while also capturing our family in this strange time. When we met up she asked for specific shots that I wanted, and was able to help us find locations that worked perfectly. She was perfect at directing us and helping us feel at ease and getting all the shots we wanted, not an easy feat with our crew. I was so pleasantly surprised to get a few preview photos within a few hours of our shoot, and a link to the edited photos the very next day. Amanda is phenomenal! She made what could've been a disastrous photoshoot with multiple toddlers really enjoyable. The kids warmed up to her immediately and she was so great at calmly and warmly directing them. We've done many family photoshoots with different photographers--and some very good ones--and Amanda was at another level. She's such a skilled photographer and also so patient, calm and fun during the process. She also was super fast at getting us the photos. My husband and I finally booked our first trip to NYC in the winter and wanted timeless photos from our trip. We met up with Amanda who we loved spending time with. She made the whole experience effortless (even the times crossing the street quickly through people and cars). She really made a point to ask if there was anywhere else we wants pictures and really made sure we got to everything we had thought of. And I was shocked that just a few days later, before we had even made it back home from our trip, we already had all of our photos!
