All the staff were professional, considerate and efficient. I arrived 45 minutes before my check in and was registered and test completed within that time. At front desk, I was greeted by someone who got up from her seat and guided to the registration person. That lady greeted me warmly and told me to wait a moment. She came out and moved a chair from the registration area to the front of her station for me to sit. That is when I realized she had immediatley observed that I was using a cane and made this accomodation without me having to say anything. Within a few minutes someone came out from the back and escorted me inside. I was given two gowns that was in the dressing room. However, as I was changing, the care assistant called out my name. I opened the door and she said she thought this would be better. It was considerable larger and I was grateful as it was a comfortable fit. She was waiting for me when I came out, and escorted me the room for my test. The technician then came in and put me at ease and explained everything. She also provided a cushion for under my knees to alleviate back pain after asking if I hadnany back pain. I have been using Lenox Hill for over 15 years, but always at the downtown Brooklyn location. This was by far the best experience I have had at Lenox Hill and that is because of the warm and considerate care I received from the front desk and care team staff. It is also the first time I was seen before my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate: Within minutes of me posting my review below, a manager (I believe) contacted me via phone to find out exactly what happened. She not only explained some of the issues of who uploads the reports and when, but she was able to securely email my report directly to me. I don't know why getting my report had to happen as a result of my initial review below, but at least someone is on top of things and will follow up with whomever it was that caused me to write the review below. I will keep the initial 2 stars so that people will hopefully read this and know that, should they experience anything similar, they can ask to speak to a manager as well. So a big thank you to the person who reached out and helped me.
Original review: After going to the Park Ave location for years, where everyone is friendly and personable, I needed to go to this location for a specific test. While the waiting area was nice and clean, the tech was okay. Not "friendly" per se, like I'm used to, but did her job. I was told 2-3 business days until I'd get the report. 5 business days later I call these jokers who tell me that because of a glitch in THEIR system, the report that was fax to my doctor yesterday, can only be sent to me via snail mail. For real???? She also tells me I can go pick it up at my doctor's office, but that there's nothing LH can do. FFS! At least...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOverall experience was good, except for the one short mid aged Asian female technologist (she wasnāt the main one so I assume she is an newbie assistant?) with glasses. I am disabled in my right shoulder and lower back so it does take time for me to change into the robe they provided. She seemed mad and annoyed I didnātāt change quickly inside the changing room and was yelling out my name in a condescending tone. When I came out of the changing room, she had a pissy look on her face and seemed bothered. What a joke and no compassion for patients, especially for a veteran who fought for all the freedom she enjoys in America.
The main female technologist that actually did the X-rays for me was a white lady perhaps Russian or East European descent judging by her accent and she was very nice and extremely caring). If wasnāt for that Asian lady, I wouldāve given them 4 stars. Took off one star since despite my conditions, I was waiting standing around near the check-in podium for a while since it took forever for the Hispanic female staff to find my insurance and her computer suddenly āfrozeā. At least she wasnāt nasty I could give you that. Wait times could be shorter since there was just one person inside the office and a few came in later but was seen way...
