Pier 97 is a beautiful new park right on the Hudson River. It is spacious, thoughtfully designed, and perfect for all ages. The open lawns, river views, and mix of shady and sunny spots make it a relaxing place to hang out. It is especially relaxing at night. Park personnel patrol the grounds making it feel safe.
Everyone loves the black granite slide that we made!! It’s a hit with kids and honestly pretty fun for adults, too. The slide’s design fits right in with the park’s modern style and adds some real energy to the space. Personally, I would’ve chosen a white granite to match the stairs and other elements. I find it's a relatively quiet, calm, beautiful place to relax and enjoy lunch. There's a well maintained lawn for the kids to enjoy. I have seen the under 6 crowd learning soccer and having a blast. Come visit one of my...

From a European’s point of view, familiar with Pride Parks in Europe and the activities organised here, Pride Island on Pier 97 was a huge flop. It resembles mostly with the Circuit parties. The food stands (2 or 3) were horrible and expensive places next to the toilets. Almost no tents from sponsors or activities organisers. The performing guests consisted of some DJs and Madonna (great!) promoting her latest album. All this was topped with plenty of guys doing drugs (pills)...
