I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN! I booked this hote through Hotwire and didn't know what I was getting for my money but based on the reviews it had everything we needed to make our visit in New York all that we wanted it to be! However once they showed me the hotel I was disappointed that it didn't show a lobby & the rooms appeared to be a little tackey but Hotwire policy of course is no refund In spite of all that I remained optimistic. When we arrived it was no front desk only the towel guy Fernando who gave us a key & code to the front door. We found out our rooms were on the third floor of this makeshift hotel converted from an apartment building! Rooms are small but not to bad after 2 days in. The bed is hard and low to the floor no paper towels or napkins. No room service only for towels but not on the weekend when Fernando goes home!
This is what got me & I won't recommend this hotel to anyone.
My sister in law broke her foot before the trip when she asked if they could get another room when someone checked out she received no response.
On the last day of our stay which was Saturday night upon our return I found the room door cracked were anyone could have walked in & taken our things.
On the same day no one bothered to make the bed when they had been making it all week probably without changing the sheets but coming back every night with the bed made gave me the feeling that they did change the sheets. When I called to complain they had to find Fernando who was at the market. He was very apologetic and thank God nothing was missing. However I still wanted my bed made up even though it was already into the evening but they assured me they would make it up. When we got back the bed was still not made up. I guess they said hell its her last day or we don't make beds on Saturday cause we ain't paying no overtime. I don't know but I feel like they were laughing behind my back that I had the nerve to even ask for them to do their job!!!
I will never stay here again &will copy & paste my review to Hotwire for people to beware. I guess you get what you pay for but people shouldn't open up makeshift hotels without giving you a true in depth description of what your paying for. đĄđĄ Glad to be getting the heck...
Read moreI will be honest, I booked this hotel (through booking.com) purely based on price and location. I couldn't believe that I could get a room for 3 adults for 4 nights so close to Times' Square in the 2 weeks before xmas for under £600. I thought it might be too good to be true and right up until we booked in, was worried they would want more money, not recognise the booking or cancel on us but I was pleasantly surprised. ||First off, the location is superb - just far enough out of Times Square to be able to relax because Times Square is chaos, but still within 15-20 minute walk. The area felt totally safe walking back at 11pm each night with my wife and daughter. On arrival we were met by Michele who was very welcoming and friendly. Check in was easy and he carried one of our cases upstairs for us. There's no lift, their website says that and we knew that but 2 flights is hardly difficult. ||The room was always very warm, so much so we had the windows open or air con turned on once we'd warmed up from our day out. The beds were very, very comfortable. I suffer with a bad back and as we each walked over 90,000 steps in 3 days I needed a form mattress, so I slept like a baby every night - again, the location is quieter than being on times Square itself. ||Overall, we were very pleased, basic but fantastic price and the location and friendly welcome and au_revoir made it all the more comfortable. Planning to go back again in 3 years time and just hoping this little gem is still around when we do as we will definitely use it again.||It's a very small hotel so you get personal attention, Michele had a room there and said we could knock on his door any time if we needed anything but thankfully we didn't. On our last day, checkout was at 11 but Michele let us leave our cases securely until 4pm so we could enjoy the whole day. ||Please note, this isn't a posh hotel, and it is priced for what it offers. The rooms are basic, the TV didn't work but we had a kitchenette with fridge, ovens and coffee maker and shower. The room was...
