Came in for a quick bite today with a friend. Ordered two items for us both. First item came out after 15 minutes of waiting and the second item I ordered wasn’t coming out after waiting for another 25 minutes. After 25 minutes of not having my food served, I had to ask the waiter about my food and she notified the sushi chef to prepare my order. Keep in mind, It was my first time here and when I went to pay, I chose the “no tip” option and signed because I wasn’t satisfied with the service and long wait times, having to remind the staff there about my order. Before I could click the “Pay” button on the POS system, the very same waiter that took my order, pulled away the POS system away from me and said “TIP PLEASE”. I respectively said “i’m choosing not to tip today.” The waitress, looked at me again and got a little bit aggressive and repeated to me “TIP PLEASE” and I looked her dead in the eye and said, “I’m not going to tip, I wasn’t satisfied with the service today.” She knew she wasn’t going to go anywhere with me so she looked angry and gave me a side eye while she processed my card. She then followed by whispering something about me to another employee working there soon after.

+Foods decent +Establishments nice and clean -long wait time (forgotten the other half of my order) waitress are nice but very aggressive...

Came in spontaneously after going to a nearby event and despite it being a Sunday night with no reservations we were seated immediately. My date ordered the #3 sushi, hot green tea, and we shared the takoyaki appetizer. I had the creamy miso soup with an egg added. Everything was really good! I didn't try the sushi but my date said he liked it. Nearby tables ordered the rock shrimp tempura and various rolls and ramen, all of which looked good.

It was my first time trying takoyaki so I don't necessarily know how it compares to other versions but this one was soft with a pleasant outer crust and complemented well by the shaved bonito flakes and sauce. I could have happily had the whole portion if we weren't splitting it. My ramen was vegetarian and the best parts were the smooth broth, soy bean cake, and the egg, but all of it together was good. I was impressed at how well it worked without a pork base.

The waitstaff were friendly, very prompt with filling our glasses, and helped explain when I had a question about a menu item.

It has a cozy, intimate atmosphere perfect for a date but I wouldn't suggest it for a huge party. It was cool being able to watch the chefs work behind the counter. If I were in the area I'd happily go back again. In a city with endless options for food this place is a...

I wanted to support this place because I live nearby but they need to be more clear about what they announce. First I tried going in for the lunch special - they have it announced on their door as ending 3:30. I came in 3:20 and they didn’t let me order from the specials. Second try I came in asking to get the 3 roll lunch specials to go. They rang me for full price and only after told me the lunch special is only for dine-in. That’s not announced anywhere and not written on their menu. It comes off as a shady practice - and also why would you not let people get takeout if they’re paying the same amount and tipping 20%? It’s very unfortunate and makes me not want to come here again.

As for the food - the ramen is below average and I would not recommend. The sushi is good and tastes fresh, just fairly small! I got a roll of salmon avocado and a roll of salmon eel (basic rolls) to-go, and with tip it was around $28.

All in all, I don’t plan on coming back. I prefer to support business that are upfront about their rules and want to build customer trust. They...

Took a day trip to New York and decided to stop by for lunch since it was along the way. Absolute best decision ever. It was the best sushi I’ve had in America. The friend that I went with agreed that the only place he had EVER had sushi on-par with this was in Japan. We both got the Omakase. I was firstly very affordable. Omakase is usually $100+, but their’s was under $70 (they also have plenty of sushi/ramen meal options in the $15-20 range for those that are looking for an even more affordable meal). And absolutely amazing quality. Every last piece was fresh and full of flavor. And the Pinot we got to pair with it was absolutely perfect. Wait staff was incredulous attentive and polite. And lastly, the environment was cozy and relaxing. Perfect spot for lunch or dinner. Would absolutely recommend if you are just looking for your meal experience to put you in a great mood for the rest of your day.

Food is good but overpriced. Everything was fresh and flavorful. I really liked the salmon carpaccio. It melted in my mouth and the citrus with the truffle oil was a good combination. There is a single bathroom that was kept clean so that’s good. And the food came out quick. The sesame cheese cake sounded good and different, it was pretty dense and it wasn’t amazing but still good. They drizzled maraschino cherry juice over it which doesn’t really go with black sesame. I made a reservation through google but apparently that doesn’t do anything, I told the waiter and he said they don’t take reservations. It wasn’t too bust at 6:00 on a Friday night. It is a small place with about 10 tables. Downsides were the prices and the floor was very very slippery coming in. It was raining outside so it was soaking wet and I almost slipped and fell multiple times. Someone should mop the floor when it rains.

The ramen was poorly presented. I ordered shoyu ramen and was very plain. I was actually excited to come and eat here, but tbh I could've made a better ramen at home! Save your money. It was not worth $17+tax on that ramen. It's just so pathetic the way it was served and the soup was all over the bowl. I also ordered tuna roll, and that was so horrible. I returned it and did not pay for it. The waitress also did not smile, but she was nice not to charge us for it. The tuna turned brown and again horribly presented, and it did not taste fresh. I had 1 piece and then immediately knew the fish went bad. That was very disappointing, especially since I was expecting a lot more from this place with all the nice reviews. Even my bf did not want to eat the roll and the ramen. He looked at the way it was served and said no thanks.
