Wow I have never had such a terrible experience in my life. The Door Man with a power trip is always an interesting one to me. I came here on a Sunday JULY 27th. I showed "The Bouncer" my ticket which was a guest list bar code (free entry). I knew multiple DJs playing the party hence that't why I had received a guest list spot. The Bouncer demanded that I pay him 60$. I said respectfully I am on the guest list and I am not going to pay anything extra. He then said I had to pay 60$ at the bar and that it was mandatory. There was nowhere on ticket or event flyer/IG post that states cover charge or mandatory $60 at bar. I told him that I have been to all of the clubs in manhattan, queens and Brooklyn and that I have never heard of that. He said that he's worked all of the best clubs and that I need to get out more -that was the standard. He then asked me "well then do you wanna get in?". I wasn't rude however this guy the fact he was asking for money tells me he's stealing from the club or the bar is slow and they are extorting money from clients. This is typical of bouncers collect cash at the door and pocket it.
I left. This bouncer had a Napoleon complex.
But if I did stay and they didn't try to extort money from I 100% would have spent money here and would have loved to see my friends play their party. It's unfortunate. Hopefully the owner and manager can turn this place around.
I will not...
Read moreI will never go back here. Start with the positive, the rooftop was decorated very well and had a cute vide and The bartenders were very nice. But that’s it. We came for an event my best friend was DJing and it was FREE entry with rsvp. We get there and we were told at the door by the security guard it’s a $50 minimum for men. This man was the rudest human I have ever met in my life and he yelled at us and treated us like trash from the second we walked up to the door. He then tells us we can do a $20 cover OR the $50 bar minimum (which is two drinks btw!). We choose the $20 and he then says, “ actually I would prefer the minimum bar tab” then WHY did you give us an option only to take it away!? He was on a complete power trip. He then goes down to $25 minimum bar tab, “just to get us in” he says. We accept and go upstairs and the female who walked us up apologized for his attitude. We get up there and, I kid you not, less than 10 people were in this bar. An empty building can not afford to treat customers like shit and drive them all away. We spoke with others who were there and they all said they had the same experience upon arrival and were treated very poorly by this security guard. You’re not a prevalent enough bar to act like this with people. I strongly suggest no one go here unless the owner finds...
