Major Thanks to PT of the CITY!
I had a very delicate cervical spine surgery back in May 2022, and was informed that I would need extensive rehab post-surgery for a minimum of 3-4 months.
Prior to finding these AMAZING superstars, I signed up with another PT facility and my progress was abysmal. Day by day, I felt myself getting worse, not better, so I decided to look elsewhere.
Fortunately, I found these awesome guys and gals right in my own backyard and I could not be more satisfied!
From the Start, I met Artur, the receptionist, who greeted me warmly, and I immediately felt attended to the way a post-surgery patient should be, so major props to PT of the City for hiring someone who is friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating for my ever changing erratic schedule.
I also appreciate the fact that I did not have to deal with my insurance company whatsoever unlike the last PT place I was going to.
Dr. Osama (one of the Partners and director of this location), did an EXTENSIVE, 45 minute, DETAILED evaluation of my situation because my neck surgery was not the āstandardā one and I noticed almost instantly that this man TRULY wanted the best outcome for me. He developed a treatment plan for me from scratch and continues to monitor my progress weekly. He is extremely friendly, and very well sought out by the patients and most important, I NEVER felt rushed during my evaluation and he let me talk and listened intently.
Taz and Yasmine are the main two Physical Therapists that work with me 2x a week for the last 4 weeks or so and I sincerely cannot compliment the two of them enough!
Taz is the young gun of the team, but I swear it seems sheās been at this for decades! I guess she has great teachers!
She pushes you really hard (but I assure you sheās a sweetheart too), while simultaneously making you laugh and actually enjoy physical therapy. Itās always a pleasure working with someone so fun, yet on her toes keeping me on track and correcting me when Iām āslackingā.
Yasmine is also a sweetheart, and exceptionally knowledgeable and really fun to work with as well and that is exactly what is needed to heal up fast and get back to normal life again.
Yasmine and Taz also give really awesome massages, so Iād go just for that alone!
This location also offers TENS machine (electro-stimulation), Ultrasound therapy, machinery to rehab with, therabands, balancing boards, foam pads, and cupping (my favorite) as well, and cupping is very rare to find at a Physical Therapy office.
Parking is never an issue as there is a parking lot on the corner, and unlike the last place I went to, they are never OVER BOOKED so for those of you that still live in fear of Covid, you will never feel like people are on top of you.
They are also extremely thorough with sanitizing all the equipment, beds, and so forth which really makes clients feel more comfortable and are constantly doing the laundry (towels, pillow cases etc).
The staff also speaks a TON of languages (English, Egyptian, French, Spanish, Russian, etc), thus being able to serve a very versatile group of individuals.
All in all, PT in the city has an exceptionally well rounded, diverse team of skilled practitioners and itās evident that they have your best interest at heart all the time!
THANKS AGAIN TO THE ENTIRE TEAM FOR HELPING ME OVERCOME ALL MY POST SURGICAL PAIN AND WEAKNESSES AND I LOOK FORWARD TO CONTINUING TO...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI started with this office last week. I found the staff welcoming and professional until my last session. I had an early appointment and was the only patient in the clinic. There was only one staff member on duty that walked by me repeatedly and did not acknowledge my prescence. After 15 minutes she asked me if I was ready. I had to ask her her name since she did not introduce herself. She told me to sit and start my exercises. I had to ask which exercise I was doing since I am not a Physical Therapist and I assumed that since she worked at the clinic she would guide me through them. She abruptly told me to start my scapula exercises and as I started them my form was not correct. She gave me a very curt "No" and corrected me with the tone of someone that I had offended. I was caught very offguard and had to think back to what I did this morning, maybe I had accidently ate this woman's dog? There would be not other reason for a professional at a clinic that my insurance is paying for to be so rude. I told her I was not comfortable with her and she told me "fine.". I left the clinic and will not be returning. I came to PT of the City since they were the medical professionals I assumed would be guiding me towards repairing my injuries. I understand that when I enter the clinic whomever will be treating me that day might be the luck of the draw but if this woman is part of the team then I see no reason to risk having her again. Hopefully Jasmine will read this and attempt to correct her ways. Hopefully she will be kinder to herself than she was when correcting me since her attitude was totally unnecessary and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWords cannot describe how grateful I am to Dr. Hatem!
I woke up the other morning and when I turned my head to the left, the entire world started to spin.
Unfortunately I've had this happen to me once before many years ago so I knew that it was the calcium crystals dislodged from my ears again causing these horrible vertigo like symptoms. The condition is called bppv, and there are two other variants of bppv as well depending on where the crystals have dislodged in your inner ear.
PT of the city was kind enough to give me a same day appointment and Dr. Hatem knew exactly what to look for and figured out my problem very fast.
We began the treatment the same day and within 2 treatments on back to back days, the crystals are back in place and I am no longer having, "the spins".
I will be going back for another 10 sessions or so to now do vestibular rehabilitation therapy which should make me feel 100% better again because even after the crystals are back in place, it does take some therapy so you no longer feel "off".
This is my second time at this location (the first time was for rehab after by neck fusion surgery) and even though all the staff is new, they are just as awesome and very caring and efficient!
Thank you so much and I have already referred my brother to you as well and I hope he ends up going so he can get his life back on track as well because he is dealing with the same thing as me (he gets this every so often as well due to his neck injury as...
