I like this place for a few reasons..

They make great craft cocktails for $12 The have a really good DJ on Fridays They have Sriracha (extra points for that)

So I recently began working in Midtown and The Liberty is one of the first gems I discovered in the area. Actually some co workers discovered it and I decided to pop my head in there after work. Everything from the decor to the music made me want to stay for a drink and a bite. The place feels like a watering hole from New York of old. They did a good job with this theme throughout the establishment. I also liked the crowd in the Liberty. It was a mix of professionals that looked like they were coming from work and club goers who were pre gaming before a night on the town.

The food: I had the Sliders (cheeseburger). These were really good. The buns were soft and the beef was tasty. Definitely above average here. I added some Sriracha to the sliders which kicked the flavor up a notch. I wouldn't hesitate to order these sliders again.

The drinks: They have a concise menu of craft cocktails themed after each of the five boroughs. There's two cocktails per borough. I just told the bar tender to make me his fav drink. I have no idea which one he made me (I was drinking before I got here), but I do know that it was well made, strong, and delicious. This is the kind of place that serves your drink in the proper drink-ware, garnishes it accordingly and doesn't short you on the liquor! All this for $12 is a great value in NYC.

Great experience at the Liberty. I'll be back often to check out their lunch offerings, happy hour and for after work drinks. I'm especially looking fwd to enjoying their outdoor seating in the...

Unfortunately a bad experience for us. The drinks were outrageously expensive and someone at the table next to us was smoking a marijuana pen. I was with my parents and we kept getting strong wiffs of marijuana. It was freezing very cold in the restaurant which I understand with covid they need to regulate air. I wanted to do the bottomless brunch but couldn’t because my parents didn’t want to. I understand how people can take advantage of this, but sometimes when there are groups with people who don’t drink it’s a little unfair. Our nachos were cold, we could tell so because the cheese was hard. When we got our meal Our waiter never checked in on how our meal was, we were waiting for sauce for our sandwich because it was extremely bland. After 20 minutes we were able to wave him down and our food was cold. 2 of us had the same sandwich and neither of us ate it. We were never asked if anything was wrong and they simply brought a to go box over to us without asking if we wanted to take it to go. I don’t want to rag on the restaurant but we paid $200 which is absurd for a causal quick lunch. If we got the food, service and ambience worth the price we would have been more than willing to pay. It’s very easy to make up for small errors at a restaurant but a lack of care and negligence makes it all around a...

My wife and I spent entire 10 days in NYC. During our stay, one of the days was Valentine's Day. I had a table already reserved in different restaurant but when I saw the place physically, I canceled it. So there was a need to find something quickly and The Liberty NYC was one of the places with free tables (two days before Valentine's Day). I reserved a table thanks to OpenTable. After coming to this place, it looked nice, there was a lady and bodyguard at the entrance. My reservation was quickly found and we received the table, without any waiting. My wife and I ordered couple of beers and coctail. As main dish we ordered Liberty Burger and Fish & Chips. Burger in taste was ok, could be more seasoned. The meal was for my wife and was ok. For me it was a little bit too small. However Fish and Chips was a different story. Fish was good in taste but was over-fried. As well as fries but less. Everything was so hard to chew on. For the entire dinner we paid nearly $100 but we left a little bit hungry. During our walk back to the hotel, we bought couple of pizza slices in one of the budget places. Do I recommend? Yes. The place is ok, the food was not delicious but tasty. The problem with this place is that there is poor quality-price ratio. Will I come back? No. There are many places in NYC...

I had one of the most successful work happy hour event at this location. The Managers and event planners were super responsive and a delight to work with. They helped me curate an event perfect for my needs and my budget. I had an happy hour event for 40 of my coworkers, we preordered food platters and had an open tab for happy hour drinks. The bartender on our service was a rockstar. She never got overwhelmed by the amount of people and she made drinks super fast and everyone said her drinks were amazing and strong. The food was really good as well. My party had no complaints and a lot of food options for all guest. Including those with dietary restrictions. Lastly I want to touch on the space. This bar is a very popular bar and the vibes and scenery were outstanding. We actually reserved the downstairs private room and I highly recommend this space for those hosting events. It’s super spacious and you have your own bar, bathroom, and music area. I will definitely be working with this location again and I highly recommend others to use this space for parties. You won’t be disappointed.

This is a local gathering place and can get busy a lot on evenings, even on the weekdays. People come here to enjoy the street atmosphere outside or the television and decor inside. The bar has outdoor seating that is quite nice, with a mix of couches and tables brought out later in the day. Inside, the unique bar shape allows for patrons to sit all around the bartender. Aside from that, the staff are friendly and courteous. If your food takes too long, they keep tabs on that and will go ask about it, given that it's not too crowded. The food is okay. The fries with garlic are crispy and the garlic is present. But it's not very seasoned for my taste. They also have wings that are of decent number, but they are the typical small kind. The pork sliders I got had tender meat, but the sauce was too much when I had it mixed in, and that was all I could taste. But it's not a bad place for a small bite, since the main draw is the drinks and company.
