I was looking at a fleece online for my daughter. It was sold out in the size and color she wanted but it showed that this store had the exact one I was looking for in stock. Since I am home ill and the store is a fair distance from my home, I tried calling to ask if I could purchase it over the phone-an extremely common thing every other store does. Oddly enough I could not find any phone number. I did the online chat but the robot kept saying it didn't understand my question and just kept sending me standard pop up messages that a survey would be e-mailed to me in 24 hours to ask about my experience with the online chat. So I then turned to the company customer service phone number thinking they would have the Soho store phone number. They told me the store didn't have a phone number. What store does not have a phone number?!?! The representative said it didn't matter anyway because the store would "most likely not take the order over the phone". I replied that "most likely" is not the same as definitely will not so I thought it was worth the phone call. He said the companies only point of contact with the Soho store was e-mail and ONLY if there was an issue such as being charged twice for an item purchased in that store. I asked how their store could not have a phone. What happens if there is an emergency in the store? How are they going to call for help? This is a very odd store to not have a phone number. Something very...
Read moreI have gone here to this location in the past, never have I ever a good experience the staff always without fail can’t imagine a black woman actually shopping there and making a purchase. I have also heard them on their walkie talkies making assumptions “as if I would walk out with stuff I didn’t purchase” the micro aggressions are common here. Even amongst staff of color!! They might have some problems with people stealing I get it!! I have even though you know what maybe if I walk in dressed in actual items from Uniqlo maybe they won’t make those assumptions but it was useless!!!! Honestly it’s always THIS LOCATION!! I have never had any other situations like this at any other store I have gone to. I only shop online for their products now the only time truly felt good about going to Uniqlo as a black woman was on 5th Ave (mostly) or the one on Fulton in Brooklyn and that is sometimes and in Japan I did not feel any bias and I was completely free to feel comfortable at that store I loved my experience there!! I despise this location in particular because I literally be feeling like I’m a horrible person because of them!! And I know who I am but why do I feel like I have to prove this to them??!! I don’t think anything will change because of this but I just have to be thankful for online shopping cause I can get rid of...
Read moreOne of the more chill places in soho with some of the lowest prices (thank god). Unfortunetly like its neighbors it sells almost no plus sized options, of course online Uniqlo has an solid selection of plus sized wear for fair prices but in this huge store I struggled to find an xl, as I explored this bright but friendly, though at times overwhelming store (how many basics can there be???) I was waiting to find a section which stocked their plus sized wear which I know they make but no. One of the rare stores with a seat so that counts for something and they have cute stations like design your own shirts and tailoring and sowing some of the nicest staff in the area but kind of ruined by the fact that you cant find 1 xxl item anywhere in the store and theres only one xl out for some not most items (when there are ample online). Its not cool to hide your fat customers from your retail store but still take their money online. And theres so much space to do this pick any corner or add 2 extra items to any given shelf smh. Would expect just a bit better from the store with a slightly less stuffy vibe than its neighbors but also when in rome.
Anyway hating aside this place is clean, airconditioned, staff leave you be, and has 2 chairs near the fitting rooms and book area. Go if you are in soho wear smaller than a large and...
