The best market in the area! Valentino’s is a classic, they have great prices for fruits and vegetables. There’s also a butcher in the back and lots of pantry staples in between. There’s a deli counter just to the right when you walk in. It’s very good which is why is very busy pretty much always. My dad used to have a power scooter and actually went in here and navigated around. I have no idea how, it’s challenging enough on two feet but they must’ve helped him get whatever he needed. I always find a great selection here. They have a variety of imported goods. While they’re known for Italian specialties, they have a variety of other things here as well. My last visit I picked up Nopal (popular item in Mexican cuisine), Tipperary butter imported from Ireland, fresh ricotta from the deli section, and many produce items that looked too good to pass up. Come in and support your local markets, that’s what will keep your prices low and quality high!

I love cooking with fresh produce, so I'm always looking for reliable, small markets in the area that have great products at good prices. I visited Valentino's on a whim today (I'm about a 10-minute bike ride away in Bushwick) and I was in HEAVEN. Fresh, inexpensive produce and an incredible selection of international foods, fresh pastas, unusual cuts of meat - and it's genuinely just fun to shop at. Plus, they're the only store in the area that has broccoli rabe! Hell yeah. I'll be back very soon.

OMG...! The best market ever! Valentino's has some of the freshest produce you're going to find in Queens. This place is one stop shopping for fresh produce, deli items and imported Italian specialty items. I shop there almost every day as I love fresh produce.

Their vine tomatoes are stellar, ranging in price from $0.69 - $1.39 a pound trucked in fresh every single day! Go there in the morning and reach for a semolina hero, the bread is still warm, unbelievable! They even have hard to find grade AA eggs and everything at low, low prices. You can also sign up for there rewards card, where you get $5 off after reaching a certain point value.

Their appetizing counter is enormous, filled with hard to find Italian delicacies, dried sausages, imported meats and cheeses, an olive bar, fresh pickles and prepared cooked foods.

In the rear of the the store, you'll find a separately owned meat market featuring both choice and prime beef, pork, chicken and exotic meats such as venison and bison. The owner is a very friendly gentleman who will cut everything to order. He is extremely knowledgeable and will answer all your questions.

Their staff is friendly and professional and will answer all your questions. Although the place is very crowded, with long lines to the registers, the lines move quickly and the cashiers are very friendly and efficient. They accept all forms of payment. You must visit Valentino's, highly...

Valentino Food Market – Fresh Produce & Authentic Italian Charm

Valentino Food Market is a true neighborhood staple—a place where freshness, quality, and tradition come together seamlessly. The produce section is one of the best around: everything is vibrant, fresh, and clearly well cared for. From leafy greens to ripe, fragrant tomatoes, this is the kind of market where you can actually enjoy shopping for ingredients.

What makes Valentino even more special is its selection of Italian specialties. Whether you’re looking for imported olive oils, aged cheeses, cured meats, or handmade pastas, there’s something here that brings the spirit of an old-world Italian pantry right into Queens. Their fresh mozzarella and prosciutto alone are worth the trip.

The store is well-organized and clean, and the staff is consistently helpful and courteous. It’s the kind of place where you feel like a regular even if it’s your first visit. Prices are fair, quality is high, and everything feels intentional—not just stocked to fill shelves.

If you’re looking for fresh produce, authentic Italian ingredients, and the kind of service that makes shopping feel personal again, Valentino Food Market is a...
