Horribleeeee experience. My sister placed an order through grubhub and there was an error with the food order. I called Corato to address the issue and as I’m immediately trying to tell Sammy who told me he is both “the owner” and “the manager” .. he spoke over me and assumed I was calling in regards to when my order will arrive. He was very dismissive! I explained what happened and he rudely said he cannot make me another sandwich without getting paid. I was told to call grubhub and get a refund for a new sandwich…fine but the way this Sammy person spoke to me is not anyway a manager or business owner should speak to a customer. He hung up on me plenty of times and I called back to get more info on who I can speak to to further address this unprofessionalism. Sammy told me “I know who you are, you expect the whole world to stop for you” he was also laughing! In the past we’ve received wrong orders and stale food and now I know it was on purpose because of what he said. Read moreAvoid this place at all costs. Two days before Christmas, this restaurant almost got me ARRESTED because they did a terrible job delivering my pizza and an even worse job trying to fix it. The full story is below:
I've ordered delivery from Corato I several times and they're usually fine. But this time, HALF of the pizza had NO TOPPINGS ON IT, not even cheese.
When I called to complain, they told me I'd get a new pizza without mentioning the old one at all. AFTER they delivered the new pizza, they asked for the old pizza which is pretty weird. Like, what were they gonna do with it? Sell it? But what's even weirder still is that this is the first time the old pizza is ever mentioned.
When I pointed out the miscommunication to the manager, he IGNORED me then YELLED at me demanding the new pizza back. Insulted, I refused to return the pizza, so Corato I's manager SENT THE COPS TO MY DOOR, by telling them I stole the pizza they LITERALLY PUT IN MY HANDS. So three hours later, I gave back the pizza to avoid arrest cause it's just not worth it.
So to recap, TWO DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS, I spent three hours of my life trying to get compensated for pizza Corato I did a terrible job delivering and all I have to show for it is NOT BEING ARRESTED. Read moreI came in and really needed to use the bathroom, I couldn't hold it anymore. Some chubby dude by the counter with a beard starts shouting "whoa whoa whoa, where are you going? Bathroom is for customers only!" I tell him "I am a customer and I need the bathroom" he yells "you're not a customer you didn't buy anything" i explain to him "I am a customer and I need to use the bathroom" he goes on "about how the bathroom is for customers only, you are not a customer and you can't use the bathroom here". I expressed to him "is this how you treat your customers?" He proceeds to tell me that he doesn't care if I return and how he doesn't need my business and to go elsewhere. It was very inhuman, anyone should be able to use the bathroom and wash their hands before buying things at your restaurant. Working in the food business they should be concerned that people have access to a clean bathroom to avoid spreading illness as well as just the general need to use the bathroom, did he expect me to stand and urinate at his doorstep or on the sidewalk? Does he prefer to clean people's urine and waste in front of his business? How do you have the nerve to tell customers who walk in that they aren't a customer and can't use a bathroom.
