I came across Monmouth Jewelers when I was looking to have a custom engagement ring made. I had gone to many other places and all said they could do it, but I had to pay for the CAD drawing upfront. The CAD design was non refundable, so if I didn’t like what they did I was out anywhere from $800-1300 dollars. This was not the case with Monmouth Jewelers. When I walked in, I was greeted and told if had any questions to feel free and ask. There was no pushy employee there to follow me around and feel the need to explain everything to me. I then asked about getting a custom ring made. I was in total shock, when I was told no problem and asked what I had in mind. After getting a ruff sketch down and explaining the details of the ring, I was told to give them about two weeks to make the CAD design. I then asked how much the CAD design was going to cost. The employee actually laughed and said “ Nothing, what if you don’t like what we come up with.” At this point they had me, hook, line and sinker. After a couple of weeks, I received an email and the CAD design of the engagement ring. It was exactly what I wanted and I didn’t hesitate to get the ring made. All I needed was a diamond to put in it. I was shown many different diamonds, explained what the clarity was on each and what was different between each diamond. Monmouth Jewelers really made it easy for me and took a lot of stress off me when I thought there was no hope of getting a custom ring made. They have become “my” Jewelry Store now I will not purchase jewelry anywhere else. They have great prices and are generally priced lower than your “Big Chain” stores. I also haven’t mentioned any one specific sales person. This is because I have purchased multiple other pieces of jewelry and watches from Monmouth Jewelers, and have worked with about 4-5 of the sales people. All are great, knowledgeable about he products, and have never been pushy to make me buy their products. So, if your looking for a nice place to buy jewelry, without feeling pressured to buy then look no further. Monmouth Jewelers will have what your looking for or they will get what your...
Read moreI took my wedding band and engagement band set to Monmouth Jewelry to be resized. They explained the process of the resizing: they would remove the stones then complete it with a laser procedure, next replace the stones, followed by a cleaning and polishing of the jewelry. They instructed me the process could take up to 1 full week to complete and they would call me or text me to notify me when my jewelry was ready. I never received a call or text and so I waited until the last day before I called them. The woman who answered the phone asked me several questions to identify myself and the ring, such as my full name and the receipt ticket number. I heard her whisper away from the phone to another person that she could not find my ring, before she put me on hold. After a minute or so of holding she returned and reassuringly stated the ring was good and ready for pick up. I went to go pick it up the following day, as it was already a little later in the day, and right away I noticed that there were two stones missing from the ring. I alerted the clerk, who then took a look at it under a magnifier and he agreed with me that stones were in fact missing. I was flabergasted. He then explained that he would alert the jeweler and they would keep it and take care of it. He also stated they would put it on "rush" in order for me to have it back sooner. This occurred on Saturday 3/12/16. I am awaiting the final product. It is unlikely that I would recommend this Jeweler to anyone. If I had not caught the mistake before I left, it would have been just my lost. Right? I am also planning to get something in writing about what happened (I was in such a shock that I did not even think to do this while I was there that day) and I will be taking my jewelry to a second jeweler to check the authenticity of the...
Read moreMy Fiancé David and I started ring shopping in November, not knowing anything about what I wanted. After visiting multiple jewelry stores we felt completely overwhelmed! Everywhere we went, it felt like we were being pushed toward specific diamonds and specific ring settings. Then we walked into Monmouth Jewelers and met Phillip, and everything changed.
Phillip was everything you’d hope for in a salesperson—and more. From the moment we sat down, he made the process feel personal and exciting. He wasn’t just selling us a diamond; he was helping us choose the most special diamond in the world (spoiler: we were!). His enthusiasm was infectious, and his depth of knowledge was incredible. He explained everything to us, sometimes multiples times since my fiancé would often go during the day time and then take me back after work.
Instead of overwhelming us with jargon or pressure, Phillip patiently explained everything we needed to know about diamonds, from the 4 Cs to the tiny details that made each one unique. He truly listened to what we were looking for, guiding us with care and genuine passion, if you know Phillip, you know he's a Diamond guy! Who better to help you on your journey.
Thanks to Phillip, what started as a daunting experience turned into one of the most memorable parts of our engagement journey. Monmouth Jewelers entire team earned our trust, and we can’t recommend them enough to anyone looking for an engagement ring or any special piece of jewelry.
Thank you, Phillip and team, for making this such a joyful and...
