Eastwood Mall - A 5-Star Family Adventure My initial thought was simply, "Sharks... And play area for kids... And a wild animals pen labeled as a kid playground. Everything seems legit!" But that barely scratches the surface of why the Eastwood Mall is such a fantastic and unexpectedly entertaining destination. Giving this place five stars is a no-brainer. You don't just go to the Eastwood Mall to shop; you go for the experience. The centerpiece is the stunning aquarium located right in the middle of the mall. It's not some tiny tank, either. Seeing actual sharks and vibrant marine life swimming around is mesmerizing for everyone, from toddlers to grandparents. Itâs the perfect, free attraction to break up a day of shopping. Then there's the kids' play area, which I jokingly called a "wild animals pen." In reality, it's a brilliant, soft-surface playground where kids can safely burn off all their energy. Itâs cleverly designed and provides a much-needed haven for parents. You can let the little ones run wild in a contained, fun environment while you take a breather. Beyond these unique features, the mall itself is enormous, with a massive selection of stores that covers everything you could possibly need. The food court has plenty of options to refuel the family. Itâs clean, spacious, and easy to navigate. The combination of serious shopping, great food, and genuinely fun, family-focused entertainment makes the Eastwood Mall a top-tier destination that goes far beyond the average shopping center. Itâs a full day of fun, and yes, everything is...
Read moreI was feeling nastalgisic today and traveled to the EastWood Mall in Niles, Ohio. Growing up in the 80âs, the Eastwood Mall was only a few minutes away. We would go every Friday night & Saturday to hang out, meet friends or actually shop. We would always get something to eat or drink. There was no food court back then. So I wanted to see what it looked like today. The Eastwood mall is a pretty big complex with a huge parking lot. So I parked and walked a short distance to the main doors. The Mall has definitely changed, I walked in and the food court was right there. As I walked around it hadnât changed that much. Same structures and spacious hallways. They carpeted some of the floors in the hallways. I remember when everything was tiled. All of the stores I use to visit are gone, replaced with new businesses & companies. The mall was very well lite & clean which I really appreciated. All of the store front were well kept. Of the store that were open, they seemed busy & were making sales. I was surprised by how many closed stores or unused store fronts there were. I know that malls are kinda a thing of the past. As I walked I tried to remember what stores & food places used to be located. I really enjoyed my time here. It was good to see that the Eastwood Mall was continuing to survive & thrive in our current economy. If you like a big, safe, active Mall, the Eastwood Mall is a place...
Read moreIt's a great place to just walk around, especially in the morning time, plus there's a great and wide selection of outlet stores to check out, Spencer's, Target, and Macy's are a few to name, and they even have an aquarium and spray paint artist, and if you have little ones they have an indoor playground out front of the JC Penny that they can run around in for a bit and if you want to treat them to something there's a giant cookie shoppette you can go to right next to a bunch of quarter pay to play rides. UPDATE : this place has really fallen downhill, not to say that the building is in bad shape, or the employees are all that bad but the eastwood mall has awful absolutely terrible security, iâve heard of multiple stories of people getting parts stolen off their cars here, this place has gone downhill in my opinion and itâs unfortunate to see being one of americaâs very few malls left, the selection of stores they offer has been here and there, and with all the new shops hopefully it will spark life back into this once great place, one thing i think is a shame is that they donât take care of the aquarium like they should, yes they have someone clean it and feed them but with the amount of animals that come and go is it really worth it just so some kids can run around look at them for 5 minutes bang around and run off? but i digress this place could be something great if they...
